I am looking at a new 28 ft bowrider/cuddy from Advantage. I need advice on motor options. I boat in Denver at 528  0 ft above sea level and I WANT an honest 80 mph. What should I do? 525 efi from mecury, 575 sci from mecury or what is the best motor to modify with the fewest problems and $$$$$?

I'd go with the most HP you can afford; the 575sci would be nice.

The altitude will hurt you a lot, unless... I would go for a good small block, and a blower. High altitude is just MADE for boost. Just get a good solid bottom end built to handle a lot of boost, and with a moderate blower you will get great power with great dependability. And they sound awsome! :D

That's a VERY tall order. Talk to Whipple and see if their supercharger on an HP500 would be enough to move that boat around up there.
