I'm so busy getting the new business going in Phoenix that we have not had much use for the boat lately. So I have decided to sell the reliable and paid-for Old Lavey :frown:. Not to mention that I could use the extra capital in the business right now. Its not all bad though as I am going to start looking for a new ride this winter. Hoping to get a 24 NuEra. This boat has served us well and has more new stuff than I can list. Here are some of the hi-lites:
1987 Lavey Craft 21 open bow, OMC Marine 460 BBF 340hp from factory (before carb/exhaust/ignition upgrades). Motor is tight. Motor and boat have about 350 hours.
Original gel-coat color sanded by Lavey Craft in about 1999, new windshields, new 4” thru-hull exhaust, new Barry Grant Sea-Demon double-pumper 750cfm marine carb, new Mallory electronic ignition, new fuel pump, new hoses, stout King Cobra out-drive has been recently upgraded with new-style gear set and cables, new throttle and shift cables, three Stainless props, dual Imco tanks, new carpet and interior with updated off-shore style bolster seats and new Gaffrig twin-stick throttle/shifter, new Extreme/Competitive tandem trailer with brakes, Pivit-Hitch, and guide-ons. Blaupunkt/Fosgate/Kenwood and JL-Audio sound-system, power rear hatch, dual Optimal batteries, Bennett tabs, new bimini, new custom tow cover. You won’t find a nicer boat and trailer for the $$. Runs high 50’s to low 60’s on GPS depending on prop, load, and elevation. Turn-key, reliable, clean, and ready to run. $14,500. Hurry before I change my mind.
OL
It has been in storage for several weeks and needs a clean-up so as soon as I get a chance I will pull it out and take some more pictures. Here are a few I have on-line.

I'm a real estate appraiser. I have an on-going business in SoCal and since moving to AZ I am setting up a new office out in Phoenix. Between keeping things going in Cali, trying to get Phoenix off the ground, and getting a new house in order--I am burried. We were kicking around selling and moving up last year but this just seems like a good time since we are not boating much this year.

WOW!!!!!!! That's a shocker!!!!!!
This boat is Swwweeeeeetttttt. The OL's and the Slick's went out a couple weeks ago to a local lake and I got my first glimpse at this boat.
Let me tell you, it is tight. The gel looks incredible despite it's age. No noticeable dings or dock rash that I could tell. The interior is spotless and the trailer could rival any new Extreme fresh from the factory.
This is a great buy.

Thanks Slick. We just made the decission this weekend. I still am a little unsure about selling but we think its the right thing to do. We do want a bigger boat so the timing seems right.

Hey OL,
By the looks of those pics, are you sure that boat insn't a '97??? Is '87 a typo?
Looks to be in perfect condition!!!!
Wish I was in the market.
Should go fast. Many are looking for boats for under $20k, but few will find boats that clean for that price.

Am I wacked on my price or what? You cannot buy a nice boat for $15k with a new Extreme trailer. Give me some feedback. What do ya think?

$15K for an 87 seems high to me. However, you have a nice trailer and it seems to be real nice. You just need the right buyer to come along. Just my opinions.:)

Thanks for the feedback. There is another just like it in the trader with a 350 and original tuck and roll interior and old trailer. He is aksing $15,500. So I figured it was pretty fair since mine is all new/re-worked. I have over $20k in it at this point so you could not buy a beater and fix it up for $15k. The trailer alone will run $3,000-$4,500. I guess everyone is going new now with the low rates.

Tell him to shove-it, you don't do business with Limey's! ;)
Or have him take that additional $500 and fly out to hand you cash.

Tell him that the $15,500.00 is enough, no need to overpay. Payment must be done via wire transfer (no excptions) If you never hear from him again its a scam.
Good luck

What's up Rex? How much are you asking for your Hallett? What year is it? The used older boat market is tough right now. With these low rates it seems most people are taking that $15k and throwing it down on a new boat:frown: .
