Is that some sort of oil reservoir for the v-drive mounted on top of it??

I just sold 2 jet boats so I'm tempted to go down there and drag it home. But if you take away the Schiada name, the thing's a major turd. Sitting outside like that, every piece of wood is toast. And what's up with the aluminum cap over the stringers? Scary.

It's a standard, and I need an automatic... :D

Cap over the stringers?
If you are talking about the Motor Rails, that's the way the Circle Boat crowd rigs the Motor Install.
Makes much more sense and is a whole bunch stronger than a "Drag Boat" style install.

D Jim, that's how schiada and alot of others rig them. All of the weight of the engine is on the stringers. It's set up for rough water use.
I'm shocked the auction is still going. That boat's bought and paid for already.

The guy is a little wacky, but he wants it gone!

I just got back from checking it out. It's a vintage well rigged boat that was set up for the long haul for sure. The thing has never been messed with at all. Should clean up real nice.
I don't know how you east coast guys let this gem get away from ya! :hammer2:

well it's not really clean but it's not been hacked up AT ALL!! Very rare to see a boat that age that doesn't have a bunch of extra holes drilled all over. Never even drilled for gas fills! Gotta love it.
Speaking of gas tanks lol, that thing's one big floating gas tank!
