What octane fuel should I run in a stock 496 HO?

I've run the lowest octane rated pump gas with no problems.

Pretty sure those motors are designed to run on 87

You should be just fine with a good qaulity pump gas. If you're skeptical you can option for a 4:1 mix of 110. I honestly believe it may be overkill so just stay with the good 91 or 92.
Is this a stock 496HO? What are the specifics? Dynamic compression ratio?

It is bone stock. I have heard of guys running anything from 87 to 91 and just wondered what is best for performance and for the motor

I think its 9.1:1.....
I use 87.. seems to work fine.
but then again I used 92 octane in a 11:1 once.... I don't recommend that.
