Do a search on HTM and you should find out quite a bit, perhaps more even than you wanted to know. ;)

Very fast hull. Experienced driver preferred.;) One of the best cabins in that size class.

How well do they get up on plane? How are they in rough water? I have a buddy with an Eliminator 27' Daytona very fast and very sable ride and feel compared to say a Magic cat. What motors would you have you had in your HTM?

I would'nt recomend on buying one now that steve is gone I like the boat (24sr) hated the 30' but the service up there is horible and you can ask anybody here that service is definetly a huge selling point to the boat and they lack it at HTM

You might want to send a PM to Rocket-J. He just bought a new HTM at the beginning of this year and could give you some info on his experiences (which I think are mostly good). I have ridden in his boat and it rides nice and it gets on plane quicker than mine, but I don't think it handles rough water as good as my Carrera 257.

Heres just another opion 4 the HTM shopper. Ive had my SS for 2 seasons and bought it because of the room you get having a cat making it nice for family comforts and storage yet dad still has a hot rod for the lake. As far as the ride gos ,its great until you hit holiday weekends at havasu,it doesnt like big big chop!!! But if you compare it to boats its size the ride is killler. As far as performance this thing is always fun to drive and halls ass.
If you are a v dude, you better throw everything you know out the window because this is a total different beast.Plan on taking a class on HTM 101....Please give the boat respect and it will treat you well.
GOOD LUCK...

Tic2RDE,
I've had my SS since 2002. I definitely would do something more than stock(496) power. I run a blown 572. The boat cruises well at 3800 RPM at Aprox 72MPH. You start putting a lot of gear and people into the SR with stock power and you will be real lucky to hit 65MPH. The boat really doesn't come alive until 55 or 60. The other thing that I would highly recommend is ditch the cable steering and go full hydraulic.
