They should change the name of the mag to "The Boats only the Rich and Famous can Afford" ordinary families can not afford the boats that this rag is highlighting...

I think they are trying to compete with powerboat.
i wonder what the makers are going to do once the market levels and interest goes back up.
LOWER PRICES......

Actually the people who run the magazine are now into owning bigger boats, and the only way to get the freebee's and promos, is to refocus the magazine on the kind of boats they own. that way they can leverage deals on cool shit for their personal rides. But you didn't hear that from me. ;) :D

I agree with her, That is the first boat I looked for.
But after a visit to HALLET, ooops, I meant Magic, I dont think I would buy one of their boats......

I think it showed a very good indication of what boats cost today. They go up every year, as does everything in our lives. I bet the rate of price increase is even less than the appreciation of your So Cal home...

I like the deck boat and what I saw as far as product.
but you gotta be friendly and at least show that you care about The customer infront of you. Not walk away and ingore them......
Its longer than that, but that is all I will go into.
85K starting price at least take a few seconds out of your personal schedule to show your product, I mean you are at work.

Anyone notice the amount of people in the evaluation boats that are wearing shoes? All of them who's feet can be seen are wearing shoes or sandles, except in the first photo on 38. Two have sox on also! What are they new? Even though they are deck boats, I feel that's pretty rude and shows how much they respect those are gracious enough to allow their boats to be used for evaluation. But that's just MHO.

That's strange becuase I was helping the editor look for a 21 - 25' boat recently.. He ended up purchasing a 21. (If I remember right) And I know another guy that works for ***boat that runs a 19?
Who's got the big boat?

I've yet to see it, but that must be the average of the "as tested" price. The boats the builders submit to the mag seem to have all the bells and whistles, not to mention blue motors or better.

I thnk they are doing a fine job of showing what is popular in the market. How many different times can you highlight a 21' or smaller jet boat or whatever. If they were reviewing boats that most of us could afford - then they would be reviewing ???? bayliners ????
Granted, 95% of the boats get good reviews, and we can only speculate why. Then again, they were pretty up front on the Nordic they evaluated.

As the new boat prices go up so does the used market. I was thinking of selling my Ultra & called John to see what it might be worth .He said it worth at least what I paid for it .It's a 2002 jet .Decided to keep it .
