You're right, she did do wrong. She is also being used as a scapegoat for alot of people that have done more. I think all of the enron people deserve to be streipped of their wealth and made to pay back all of the employees atleast. I wonder if George Bush sr. will do any time, he certainly got out with all of his money......v-drive

She's going to apeal. BS, she needs to face the truth and do her
time. It's only 5 months. She could have gotten 16 months.
She needs to go to prison, arrogant bitch!:eek: :eek:

She should have been sentenced for much longer. We should have laws like India! You steal, you lose a hand! You steal money, you lose all your money! If it were someone without a big name, they'd prbably got the max sentence! I use her as the scape goat, what she did was wrong. That's my .02! AS for those enron few, They should freeze their accounts and give the funds to education! :)

Exactly. The thing that bothers me the most about her, is that she only would have lost about $68,000.00 (from what I heard) instead, she lost hundreds of thousands in laywer fee's, court costs, and fines. Not to mention prision time, and making herself look like a complete asshole to the entier country :rolleyes:

She is her own worst enemy. After hearing her talk after court, no wonder they didn't put her on the stand in her own defense. I agree that she was made an example of, as V-drive said. But she did turn down two plea-bargins from the Fed's that would have resulted in only a Misdemeanor, fines & probation. But no, she would never admit to anything and simply say "I screwed up", or "I made a mistake." She kinda deserves what she got IMO, it could have been much worse. I think it was a fair sentencing from the judge.

It's funny how people love to hate her. Personally I think it's a shame that they put all this effort and taxpayer money into going after her for CHUMP CHANGE!! She didn't bilk anyone. She didn't ruin the lives of thousands of shareholders. She didn't defraud anyone of anything.
I wish they would put this much attention into Enron and all the other corperate fiascos that deserve the attention and stop waisting time making an example out of her.
Would they have gone after her is she was a "Good Ol' Boy"? Hell no.......
