Can we be objective here ?? Instead of bashing & high jacking ???
My question is: are the Raiders going to do well this season ????

I don't know? But there's a real good chance the 49ers will suck.
I think with the Gannon, Collins one two punch. They could be
pretty good.
Alot of people don't like Kerry but lets face it, he's good.

As a NYGiants fan for years I have to say, I am glad he is a Raider, if he is your starter you'll be 0 - 16, he sucks, afraid to take a hit, low arm strength, shall I go on???

You must not care for the niners either. After Shockey got burned
on a bad call.

As a long time Buc's fan it gave me great pleasure to watch the Raiders and Buc's play each other in the Super Bowl. I enjoyed the game from my seat at the Vegas Hilton Super Bowl Party. Great time!
I felt so bad for the Raider fans who dressed up in their neat costumes, painted their faces and represented the Raider Nation to the best of their abilities, only to be sad and walk around the casino all dressed up with big frowns. Luckily they didn't have to wait in that big line at the sports book window to cash in their winning tickets.
Sorry, had to say that. I was actually disappointed the Raiders didn't bring their "A" game.
I don't think the Raiders will do well this season. They have some growing and rebuilding to do.
I'm actually putting money on the Cowboys to surprise us this season.
I can't wait. I just want to see some good football.

I grew up in New England and lived in SD for a number of years. Go Pats and Chargers. It's a good thing I have the Pats because the BOLTS are offically the Clippers of the NFL and are going nowhere soon.

Also as a Bucs fan i loved that bowl, almost got beat up after, wearin the jersey around her in oc. Bucs wont be that good this year, 49ers wont do good at all, raiders wont be good....look for the eagles to take it this year "as much as i hate to admit it"

Only thing worse than the Raiders is Al Davis. He'd run over his family to make an extra buck.

We (6-8 of us) always go up for opening Day. I just hope Gannon has his stuff this year, he really looked bad last year before he got hurt. Opening Day in Oakland is a Great way to end the Summer. :D

Rich Gannon cannot win a championship. He plays bad under pressure. Get rid of the old geezer, and the Raiders may have a chance.

The Superbowl lostI think the coaching staff should take most of the Blame, Gruden knew every play they ran. Gannon played very well under pressure up until the SB.

GO LIONS!!!!!!!
Raiders will have trouble with chemistry this year.....Too many new players coupled with a new coach.....Will take a season to get the necessary cohesiveness needed to be a playoff caliber team....
Just my .02........But, then again I like the Lions.....

If I was gonna root for a Gay Area team it would be the Niners.
The call was bad but the officials made the call, Shockey is a good TE but his attitude is gonna hold him back from being a great TE...

I think the raiders will do great this year
I think they only thing they were lacking before was a solid defense. It got frustrating to see them score a bunch of points just to have the dfense let the other offense catch up. now they have great talent on the defense side.... The only think that worries me is Norv turner I am not sure he is the guy for the job..
But we will see. I have been a raider fan all my life so I am really looking forward to this year....

With the Raiders MUCH improved Offensive and Defensive lines, the emergence of Jerry Porter, and 2 healthy QB's that can start for most teams, an improved defensive backfield, I think that the Raiders will be much improved. However, I think that the ONLY way the Raiders will win the Division this year is if they find a Running Game to go along with all the other upgrades. As of right now, I see no 1000 yd running back on the team. Sure, Tyrone Wheatley is a good RB when healthy. But he is more like a Full back than a running back. There's a bunch of rookies and 2nd/3rd stringers in there for the RB position, but nobody that can take the place of Charlie Garner, who bolted for Tampa Bay in the Off season,
IF the Raiders find a running game, they will win their division and who knows how far they'll go after that....It just depends on how things go I reckon.
Although I am a Raiders fan and have been all my life, I don't think that they go from tied for last place in the league last year, to Superbowl Champs this year. They will make it to the playoffs (If they find their running game as mentioned above) but I just think that they are still 1 or 2 players away from the Championship.
GO RAIDERS!!:D

Didn't they get Amos Zereoue ????
I believe he can have a 1000 yd season....

The Raiders are going to suck, just like they sucked last year! Gannon is a choker, sack him early and he'll do nothing the whole game. As for receivers, we saw what they did last year! nothing. And for running backs, they lost gardner and Wheatley is average. As for getting Sapp, he hasn't had a good year in 3 years?????? They won't even come close to the playoffs! Remember the Superbowl! Tampa spanked'em! As for Al Davis, him and Fonteriere should team up together! Two negatives might make a positive!

I don't follow the intricicies of football, but I do like to watch it. Being from Portland, I follow the Seahawks mostly. I heard somewhere that they are looking very good this year. I might have to check that out.
I also keep my eye on the Lions and Joey Harrington. Harrington was an Oregon Duck!! Quack, Quack!!
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Vikings.....

You Raider fans sure come out of the wood work. Don't you?
Go Niners! Probably not for a long time.
You guy's here the city of SF is not going to put up any money to
renovate Craplestick park and will probably not help fund a new
stadium.
If that happens their saying 2005 will be the 49ers last season in SF.
The team will move.

I don't hate the Raiders as much as I hate ( most, not all ) of their Fans. I can't go anywhere in So. Cal without seeing some scumbag Gangbanger in Raider gear. But, I need not state the obvious.

49ers??? ROFLMFAO!!!!! They ain't going nowhere but backwards LOL
Lin, (NewAZCpl) Yes, The Raiders HAVE signed a few RBs and are currently sitting with these RB's on their Roster;
Zack Crockett - 145 yds on 48 carries as a Raider in 2003
Justin Fargas - 203 yds on 40 carries as a Raider in 2003
Troy Hambrick - 972 yds on 275 carries as a Cowboy in 2003
Chris Hetherington - 0 yds on 0 carries as a Raider in 2003
J.R. Redmond - 30 yds on 9 carries as a Raider in 2003
Tyrone Wheatley - 678 yds on 159 Carries as a Raider in 2003
Amos Zereoue - 433 yds on 132 carries as a Steeler in 2003.
However, I still don't see a 1000 yard RB there. Troy Hambrick may be close, but I don't think that he will be as productive this year under Norv Turner's offense as he was last year with Dallas. Amos Zereoue a 1000 yd back? No way. His best season was in 2002 when he ran for 762 yds. I hear that Eddie George may be waived pretty soon from the Titans. George is getting up there in age but everyone knows that the Raiders like the older players as well as players that like to break the rules  Wonder if we'll see Eddie George as a Raider?
