That is one beautiful looking boat! Functional too!
It has a really nice layout, so I’m sure it will be a big seller in the product line.
If you can tell us, what kind of power options will be offered with it?

The 23 Shadow will come standard with a 496 mag. We will also offer the 23 in jet and outboard

It doesn't look like there is much room between the rear facing seats, and the rear bench seat. Must be one or the other deal. Is there different seating options?

Mercury 300X. Or in a couple of years when they have the bugs worked out, a 275 (maybe one day a 400hp+) supercharged Verado 4-stroke. :)
Boat looks very good John. I like that size....not too big or too small.

Good looking boat. If they only made it 4 or 5 feet bigger Id buy one. oops, I just bought an Ultra. Maybe by the time they do make it in a 27 or 28' Ill be ready to sell mine.

Is everything styled after the stealth now? I really like the idea but not very fond of the stealth style imo- only

Nice work. I saw the drawing at the Pomona Boat Show but I wasn't sure how big the boat was going to be. John I still have to stop by the shop to see you guys in action. Last time I was there to pick up a prop I was in and out in a few minutes. Keep up the good work.

It would be nice if there was a walk thru from the rear of the boat so you wouldn't have to climb over the upholstery from the swim step in.

I am in the same boat (pun intended). I like the styling and that is what I want in a boat... lots of room with a good secure feeling. Good for the kids and grandkids...:D
Now just gotta save up the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$:(

How about a duel jet setup, has Ultra done it yet? Very nice hull BTW, it's about time someone has a deck boat that is not 28'.

John, will that make them faster and more efishent s/p on top end with say 750 hp what kind of top end #'s ?

hmmm, I was under the impression thet it also made the cruise more efficient also. Never heard of the Big Dominator pump, I'll need to look that one up.

John-- great work as usual. This looks amazing. As a few others mentioned, truely a sign of your reputation, design, performance and serivce that so many people buy before they even see one. I think this is awesome. Keep up the good work-- the market always needs better things.

My only observation is that the open bow/front deck section looks awfully shallow. Other than that it looks great, and I'm eager to see how it runs. Also curious whose 572 they are using and what the specs are on it.

I was thinking the same thing, the front area looks really small - then again it is one of the smallest deck boats on the market compared to what everyone else is making.

I agree, I love the curvy look too.. Very modern, I like the fact that this boat doesn't have a tribal theme or flames.. The sides of the boat make it.. In my opinion....

I'm building one with my 1100 HP engine out of my 22 Stealth to see what it will do.

I had Ultra put on the Dana scissor hinges on mine and I dig them. Worth money. If you are buying one, make sure to listen to what John and Steve are saying in El Cajon, they have some good ideas regarding what looks good and what doesnt.

Yah, I wish you would've listened Craig. :D j/k Your Ultra, like almost all of them I see are just plain bitchen. Wouldn't mind joining that club in the near future!!
Are jets THAT much slower than sterns!!? 550 hp jet = 65 mph.
375 hp stern = 70 to 75.

THOR
07-24-2004, 11:42 AM
Uh,
425 HP = 75-80 mph. ;)

HighRoller

I'd say that 550 actual HP with that new, bigger jet will get you more than 65MPH. Wes's(now ClownPuncher's) Ultra V-bottom did 75-80 with 650hp. This boat is a tunnel so I'd say that's good for at least 5 mph at the same weight.

If it helps my 247 does 89/90 GPS with the Whipped HP500EFI. Dont they rate that right at 650hp?

I thought the Whipple kit for the HP500 put it at 700-800HP?

After drooling over the 21' deck boat on your web site I did a seach on ***boat for "ultra deck" and behold It actually gets better than the 21'. I really like the low profile (free board) look of the 21 how does it handle in the chop? What is the list price for the 21 and 22? Absolutely beautiful design on the 23. Good Luck with the new boat.
