Thanks guys. Like we've been ranting all day, it was a sweet trip. Can you imagine if we had 30+ boats up there for the Dam Run II ?????
The water level looked to be high. I didn't notice a waterline. You have to watch for rocks the last 1/4 mile or so. Other than that, no problems. Just as we were leaving the dam area, the current picked up as they let water out.

This is Mrs. Hava-life with her commentary for DHO!! Next time you do this run, we are there without a doubt Sam! What a blast and the scenery is there for the gettin and that is the stuff I live for. Heck Topock Gorge is as good as Hawaii for me and that is the first tourist attraction we take our guests too. In fact, my future burial site:-) Hey -- look for us this weekend because I want to introduce Mr. Hava life to you -- you two are so alike in your passion for boating, it's all over your face DHO.(by the way I like that acronym, I always tell people when they whine about the heat here, "but it's a dry heat" and truly that makes a difference. Hey Quality Time,
Saw your rig east bound (I-40) friday night as I had to turn around at Kelso to return home due to a call from my neighbor informing us that my gf's youngest son was involved in a vehicle accident in my 4x4 (un-authorized). We wanted to do this run so bad that we decided to get a room at Harah's instead of leaving 3am sat morning and we forgot to call to cancel so I know I was charged for one night :( . Good thing he was not injured and my truck can always be repaired. Maybe next time

Sorry to hear about the accident, but Thank God everyone is okay. Like you stated, metal and plastic can be replaced. You definitley have to make the next run. As mentioned numerous times, it was Great.
DHO,
Thanks for posting the pics. It was nice meeting you guys. You and your wife were smiling the entire trip. Priceless!

FT,
Some of us left from Kathrines. We met up with more folks at Cottonwood and in the gorge. I, unfortunately, reset my GPS at Cottonwood so I don't have the accurate numbers. Frenchie had his dialed in. If I'm not mistaken, it's 120 miles round trip from Katehrines. As far as time, hard to say. We made a few stops along the way. Frenchie can chime in and give you more accurate data.
I highly recommend the run.

There will be another one before the end of the season. We kind of flew around the lake chasing Frenchie....lol If you make the trip plan on it being a 4-5 hour trip or an all day thing if you just want to cruise.
The people on my boat were looking forward to seeing a Bighorn but we did not see any.
I had a few other people that didn't show and I could have filled the boat with others :(. Not an everyday trip but nice to complete a few times a year.
I am sending out CD's to anybody who requested them of the pics I took. I would post them but sadly....I do not know how to post em.

The water level was fine. I thought it would have been a little lower but maybe we just happened to get there at the right time with water being let out and so forth.

Not yet, it's going slow since this is #2 for them. Barry is doing what he can to keep things moving along, so hopefully it will get out of the mold before too much longer. Over the last weekend they were putting the transom in and this week they should be laying stringers...

i had the GPS going both ways....all day!
From Kathereines to Cottonwood was 21 miles ...took 24 minutes. Then we stopped b4 willow about 24 miles up took about 30 minutes cruising between 50-60 mph...went through no wake at willow and then about another 15 minutes to get to dam...total of 63 miles one way!
Coming back got to cottonwood with DHO, and Quality time (30'sunsation) in travel time (42 miles) about 40 minutes ...cruised 60-70 mph all the way. kicked it at cottonwood for a while then me and DHO ran backto Katherines area (21 miles ) in under 20 minutes! no joke i was doing my all to stay next to him! Frenchie.
