Your Motor turns 7,000 rpms....Your running 29's.... It ET's 9.40 at 125mph...
the prop is a 2 blade, 11 1/8 X 16....
Now..... Can you tell me how many revolutions the prop turns in the quarter mile....Good Luck..

1414.7 revolutions if it hit 7000 instantly and stayed there for 9.40 seconds.

I figure:
7000 rpm x 1.29 gear = 9030 rpm
9030 rpm / 60 = Revolutions per second 150.5
9.40 seconds x 150.5 = 1414.7
Mph, pitch, and color of boat shouldn't have anything to do with it. :D
Right 058...no slippage and doubt 7000 rpm instantly and holding entire 9.40 seconds.

I know the answer. If the guy right next to you ran a 9:30 you need a few more turns than you got. Just ask him and the subtract a few.

WELL,,,,,,MY FRIENDS BOAT WENT 108 MPH at the boat races and I can stay next to him pretty good. So I think mine should be going about 100+.........WAAADDDDYAATHINK.. .
Realy,,,,The guy my friend got it from was a big drag racer. But my friend has about the same engine. Now we are going to put more gear in it. It should go a lot faster.
Real answer is PLAYBACK tach. Figure out how many tenths of a second you spent a any given RPM.
