I bought a jet boat to get the motor out of it for one of my other boats. I am putting a stock 454 back in it for my son to use. It has the Hardin Marine thru transom exhaust but I always liked the look of the over the transom headers (water cooled). Are these legal? It seems I read somewhere that they aren't.

Yep they are legal. I live up here in dallas area and never had a problem. I was stopped by a ranger and they just wanted to ensure I had fire ext, life jacket, etc. They did not go into the mechanicals of the boat. They only wory about the basics here I guess thats one plus for Texas, the Heat is a big minus :cool:

As long as you run water through em they won't bug you much.
If you go to lake Conroe they'll hassel you all day if you don't run em with baffles.
