I have a '79 Sleekcraft w/ a 454 with Hardin thru transom exhaust. Here is the problem. The exits of the risers do not line up with the exhaust tips mounted to the transom. They are off center about 2", and there is only about 6" between the exits of the riseres and the exhaust tips. The issue is the 3" rubber exhaust tube has to be kinked in order to make the conection. My guess is the boat was set up for other than a BBC, and now that I have the 454 in there it does not line up. Have any of you had this problem, and if you did were you abel to correct it. Over the transom headers is not an option. Thanks for any help.

Maybe bellows type hoses ? this is made of HI temp silicone and it's real flexible,

LiquidJ - I had 3 inch "S" pipes made for mine at my local muffler shop. They connect to the risers and the thru hull trumpets with very small (about 2" long) sections of hose.
When I get home tonight, I'll snap a picture and post it for you if you're interested.

manuel - do you know where to order that tubing from? I'm having the same problem and that looks like the best solution.

Thanks for the replys. Certainly sheds some light on correcting the problem. Think I'm going to try the bellowed exhaust tube, and if that does not work, I'm going to go with the custom "S" pipes.
Thanks again for your help.
