Wait...tracking satellites...what does that mean?
Consider,

Matching GPS with speedo and tach...and the reflection. Lake trim. Of course, may all be compliments of Photoshop. Can I prove it? What do you think?

Wait...tracking satellites...what does that mean? Quite simple. I turned it back on to take the pic after going through a security check point at the airport.

So maybe Squirt took his for a ride in the SR-71? :) Another tip-off is "max speed" vs. "speed"

Yeah but look at LV's tach and note his reflection. He's got some cheek flapping going on Eek! I wonder what that pump calculator says if you put in 2247 mph at 5,100 rpm

How is it when the engines is at 1200 rpms and you have no oil pressure? eek! Could be I disconnected the oil pump because I didn't want any parasitic losses on the engine while racing,
Or,
Because I was in the pits at the time.
See the tire in the picture of the rig parked next to me.
Snagster, I can tell you're a smart ass so we would get along good. How can I find you at Red Bluff?

[QB] Sounds like more jetboat....
That picture of the GPS recall is no BS. That's the speed from the 1000' drags in Ottawa Ill. last August. The time slip said 103 mph / 7.95 ET but the GPS said 101mph. So which is more accurate? The Nordskog GPS updates the speed 10 times a second. I don't think handheld units don't update speed that fast.
058, I hope I didn't give you a smart ass answer to a ligit question. Hard to read throught the lines here sometimes.

O It's going. I am just being a little picky I guess. Todds computer has been down, so that's why he hasn't been on much. I guess that's good because he has been working on the boat more, getting it ready for Red bluff. Yes we will see you there.

I made it to 109 last year, and it's still on my GPS! Shooting for 130 this year. Different hull though. See www.dragboatrace.com (http://www.dragboatrace.com) for circumstantial evidence; the 109 mpg under Rick's Videos. I still have the burned piston too! Maybe a pic of that will suffice . . .

Just because you're slower with a Blown "oh my" 472 Ford (compared to my n/a mild 454 Chevy) and only your "fat ass" (compared to my lake trim fat ass with passenger)...
No need to be jealous.
Why should I waste time photoshoping? When a PlaceCraft jet with a mild engine can wax your ass?

jer Now that is rich, and how much money are we spending?? hummm I have probably an 1/8th of what you are spending in my motor, and to get an million pound hull with an e pump to run almost 80 mph I would say is pretty good, considering the motor is nothing more than a 60 over, cast crank, stock rods, heavy then hell trw's d3ve's with oversized valves, home ported, and a flat tappet cam, stock ford dura spark ignition, built in my garage. Oh yeah I am only at 6 psi too.

Just figured time to wake the thread back up.
1/8 the money in your engine? Remember, I'm not talking about the new engine above. Those numbers with my 10 year old engine costing about $5000 new. So 1/8 of that is $625. I'd say you got yourself a really good deal on that blower 472.
:)

Blown 472
05-19-2003, 10:45 AM
Well that could be, since I did buy the blower for 600. The intake was a little more, the rest of the stuff was already in the boat or on the shelf.

Well since we are on the subject of building motors, Mr. big chev what ever my little stock bore, 3.75 inch stroke, iron headed, stock valve, stock rod, flat tappet, ductile iron rocker 440 makes 615 hp at the flywheel, 3% under driven at 6 psi.
