Be careful with Parker Oil, they had water get into their AV tank in June, caused a lot of damage to Big Proppa's new engine. PM him for more info.

Parker Oil sells watered down fuel, be carefull. The Shell station by the North dam, just past the Blue Bar II on 95 has it also if you are up that way. Last time I was there AV was Cheaper than 91 oct. I think it was about $2.30/gal.

It's difficult sometimes, but I try to buy from an airport. Their fuel had better be good!
Also, I was a pump jockey at a 76 in a former life. I know that the octane ratings on pumps are a joke.
Owner of station:"Put a couple hundred gallons of reg in the super tank"
Owner of No Name gas truck:"No problem, like always"

The Parker air port is fast and they offer a cash discount. A friend has his twin there and he has never had a problem. Its never been a problem to pull in and fill up any of our boats.
And about all this stuff about race fuel or AV gas, I was told by my motor guy (Nick Constintino) the man behind M&D Performance to lay off the marvels oil in the cruzier motor after he took it 100% apart for its season check up and valve spring replacement.
As a new guy to all this stuff I would love to hear from all you hard core racers on these boards.
Thanks,

I filled a jelly jar full of the gas I got from parker oil (now keep in mind I mix it with the 91) let the jar sit for about an hour and there was atleast a 1/8" of water on the bottom of the jar. Now remeber I mix each tank on my boat at 20 gal. of 91 and 10 gal. of av. Big Proppa's boat runs straight av and his boat would not even roll over on plane before it coughed and died. the following week when he took the carbs apart they looked like they had been under water for about a year.

You don't think your average service station gives a crap about the quality of your fuel, hell they could have 87 in all three grades, in all the tanks !! how would you ever know, unless you took a sample and had a lab check it. My thought is this, if super fuels, parker oil are selling " AVGAS", is it APPROVED FOR USE IN AIRCRAFT. I f they tell you " no we don't reccommend it's use in an airplane", then you have your answer, and thier selling bogus fuel ( AVGAS ). Here is the other side, i'm a small plane owner, run to super fuels, get my "avgas", plane craps out due to not being 100LL, OR WATER in the fuel. Get a sample and have it checked, especially if you had engine problems. Get the word out if they really have bogus "avgas". scott.
This is worth repeating and exactly why I bought my ag from an airport. I don't know if the typical pump jockey will give any kind of answer to a question about using it in an airplane though.
