Anybody have one for sale, or know where one is available? I've been told by two different retailers that they are on backorder nationally from Merc...

Ebay is sick. I bet that prop sells for what you could go out and get a new one for. Mass hysteria!!

That goes to show how crazy EBay is, at $350 for a used prop that looks that bad... what happened to that finish?

Too much time in the lake - if there is such a thing, and not enough polish.

Thanks CB, wow must be a lot of time mine only sees salt water and doesn't look that bad (yet stills looks bad) and I never clean it. Time to see if Mr Clean works on my prop haha.. See the price came down a little bit thats always a good thing ya!:D

Lime Away will remove prop scum effortlessly and make it look new.

Lime Away is great stuff. It also removes any of that chalky residue that might build up on your outdrive.

So did it turn out to be a nice prop or a piece of shit??

It actually was in really good shape; just a couple of small nicks. I took it to Bronson Hill, had it re-pitched to 24-1/2" and it looks great. Thanks again for the tip.

What did Bronson Hill charge you for the twicking on it if you dont mind me asking?? Thanks

$225 - clean up the nicks, more cup, increase pitch and a mirror finish polish job!

Nice!! You will have to let us know if the change in pitch makes a difference!!

Lets hope so! Byron Bronson told me that the changes he made should bring my rpm down to 5200, which is where it's supposed to be with a bit more top end.

What motor do you have in your Lavey? We have a 2004 21XCS with the 6.2 and were thinking of trying a new prop. We have the 4 blade 22 on it now.

Same set-up except my boat is the XTSki walk through open bow. 6.2 with 1.65 gears. I started with the 22" and then after adding EMI exhaust found that even a 23" was not enough.

Thanks-we were going to try a 23, but heard from some others that the 24 would get us a little more top end. Are you going to be heading to the Lavey regatta this year?

Not this year. It's our anniversary that weekend...
