Some of us are meeting at Hava Gas around 5 AM:frown: . We will caravan up from there...Here is the original thread...
Mohave Dam Run II
Alright, going on a limb here and setting it up for Saturday, August 21st.--YES THE DATE WAS CHANGED TO 8-21-04
Same deal....8AM at the buoys out side the gas station at Katherines Landing. For those of you wanting to launch at Cottonwood we can stop by and pick you up there. Willow beach same situation. Bring kids if you want or don't. remember to launch at 7A and you will beat the traffic at the docks. Wait till 8 and you will be late.
After the dam run we all head to Gasoline Ally and take it over. We will all fit...just be a little cozy is all Stay there till the sun goes down. This is where if you have small children you may not want to participate in this activity.
Lets get it rolling people and double it to about 30 boats......
I am in....who else?

Not if you launch at cottonwood. well maybe depends on your capacity.
The guys meeting at Hav-a-gas are going to launch at Katherines thats about 20 miles from cottonwood by lake, probably 40 miles by land. We are diving to cottonwood to launch (No launch lines) takes about 45 minutes longer to drive to cottonwood from Havasu. We plan to leave about the same time.

I will be gassing up the boat again at Willow on the way back. Never worth getting close to running out but it depends on your motor/boat/load/speed. Plenty of opprtunities to fuel should you so desire both north and south bound.

You have a damn good point. Of course getting up a little earlier is going to be allot easier on us and the boat than the ride from Katherine's up to Cottonwood :D Anyways we would need to launch early from Katherine's just to make it up to Cottonwood at 8:30. So either way I'm waking up early

When are you getting into Laughlin? Since we will be a few of the slowest ones on the water we will have to meet up friday night to say some hello's... or are you still thinking about going to Moabi and hanging out at the sandbar on Friday w/ us?? Sean mentioned that to me a while ago...

It's not the ride TO Cottonwood that you have to worry about. It'll be early and smooth, pedal down and go. It's the ride BACK to Katherine's in the afternoon that could be a real mess if the t-storms are kickin and wind howlin... :jawdrop: :hammerhea
I love launching at Cottonwood, so quiet and peaceful, no drama. However, since we plan to end up in Gasoline Alley with the afternoon party crowd, I'm not sure what kind of shape we'll be in at the end of the day. We may just drop anchor and stay put! :D
We're launching at Telephone Cove, little dirt ramp just north of Katherine's.
Looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone!

We thought about launching there, what is the difference between there and Cottonwood? Time I mean...
That is the bummer about launching at Cottonwood, we would probably pass on GA... although it sounds like a kick ass time! We will see... we are just concerned about getting our ass kicked too bad out there on the water between Kathrines and Cottonwood...

G.A. is about 20 miles from Cottonwood. It's just north of Katherine's.
Yes...I-40 to Searchlight. There's a group leaving Havasu (Havagas) on Saturday morning. They're launching from Katherine's. You might want to change your mind and cruise up with them especially if you're gonna go to G.A. anyway.

We'll be leaving the Riverside parking lot about 645am on Saturday. It's 45min-1hour to get to Cottonwood. This will probably be the biggest crowd they've seen at cottonwood in a while, so it might take us 15 min to launch!
They have gas at cw if you need it, a nice store also.
No Stress! Everyone will watch each others' asses, and no one is rushing anyone. This will be a blast. I'm out of here, last one to Laughlin buys the drinks!
