View Full Version : need help i.d. ing my 455 olds engine

hello, looking for help trying to find out what 455 old engine i have.
on the front of the block above timing cover there is a
396021-F stamped into the block the heads have a Ga stamped in them
and on the back by the dist area there is a 157 and right under the dist it looks like a CFD6 or CF06
any help would be great

Looks like you have a 455 block with 455 heads! :D

If I am remembering correctly.
The F blocks are late 60's to early 71 blocks. Rumored to have higher nickel content. Supposedly the higher nickel content makes for a strongr block.
Ga Head... Later early 70's emissions head...
I am going off of memory. Check realoldspower or another site like that...
