If you mean GS Marine out of Corona they do very good work. In fact Greg Shoemaker (GS Marine) writes a colum in HB every month. You would be in good hands at GS Marine.
He has done work for me on my Eliminator and Southwind jets.
I see you changed the title of your post.

What did you get done at G&S? Ride plate, loader and ect? And by the way what year is your southwind?

Greg worked on my Spectra 20 several years ago and rebuilt the pump and powder coated the bowl and transom plate, Jacuzzi WJ. Very happy. Great guy, very helpful.

Since you are in Laguna Hills there is a place that is really good at the 55 and Dyer called Wilkes Marine. I highly recommend them. Jim Wilkes is also involved with ***boat as a tester and writer. They also have special permission to run boats on Irvine lake so they will actually test your boat on water instead of with a garden hose.

All the above and more. My boat came stock with a Jacuzzi pump. When I restored her several years ago, I put an American Turbine in. Greg set the pump into the hull, detailed my impeller, machined the intake and installed the rideplate and shoe. I think there's still a lot of dial in work to be done with my setup, but she'll do 75 on a good day!
My boat is a '74, but ask anyone on the board who has seen it. She doesn't look a day over 2 years old and she's 30!

GS Marine does good work. Greg is great to work with, all you need is a little patients because he is so busy. It's great to work with somebody so busy, because there is a reason why he is busy. .02

Yes, JRock...I had Greg put in an MSD for me. He does good work....but I found the $90/hour for labor a little on the shocking side....unless all boat places now charge that rate.
