1) "rumor" from some fairly respectable sources that the V10 is gone in '08.
2) Known problems ordering a V10 in some areas
3) The 6.2L "Hurricane" V8 is back on track for production for '08.
The Uaw leaders told the local of the new engines, since this is on the UAW 1250 we site I guess we can say it is in the public domain. A 6.2 V8 Boss gasoline engine, and a new 4.4l V8 DIESEL for f150 and explorer and several new models. Horespower? Well around 330 for the diesel the Boss v8 truck engine should be around 400.
God Bless Mark Fields the new head of Ford the America's as he is the one who insisted that he needed these to help turn the company around.

I would think a small diesel in a f -150 would make a killing in fleet sales.
that is if its not $$$$$$$$$$$$$$....

I have a v10 in my f250 and I will say it is by far the best gas engine I have ever had, lots of power. And I have had all of Fords gas engines at one time. I hope the hurricane will be as good.

Im happy with my v10.The only dissapointment is even with exaust I still miss the rumble of a v8 but it pulls the boat like its not even back there.

I agree, as far as the exhaust I did the fm 50 and I am pretty happy with the sound.

Mine rocks! Extra 50 or so HP over the 2 valve!! Probably emissions related 'casue I think for motorhome sales, they'll need lots of torque.
