Had this brand new, never opened red 6ft Jet-Connex trailer light connector laying around and can't use it on the new boat. Anyone interested?? I think these are around $70 new but I'll sell it cheap to a fellow ***boater.

$30.
I was going to use it on the new boat trailer but I ended up not getting the adapter installed on the trailer side so I'm gonna stick with the standard connector plug.

Hey Toby,
I'm not sure if it will work. The big side definately fits the 2500HD(I just tried it on my truck), the small end is a round five pin female.
It's the bottom one on the Jet Connex website 7 to 5
Jet Connex (http://www.jetconnex.com/about-hitch-trailer-cable-connector.html)
Let me know if you want and I can take a picture of the small end and post it.

Hey EVO you hijacking my thread? :argue:
J/k Hey if I decide to keep this thing or trade it for a blue one to use with my extreme trailer, how much $ for the connector/receptacle that goes onto the trailer? Do you just cut the existing wires and wire in the receptacle on the trailer?

If we find out this will work on my truck and trailer. I will buy it. Even though its red.....I was going to get one last yr at the boat show in LA, about fell over when they said it was 70 or 80 dollars.....wow

Toby,
Sorry to hear you're not getting out to the river that much. Let me know if th connector will work, it's not going any where fast. On a side note... what do you know about upgraded controller for a Club Car Elec. Golf cart? Phuggit and I built this cart and it ain't got the get up and go we need. Do we need to upgrade the controller? Motor? Both? It's a 1994 36V.

Thanks,

im going to the river next weekend, so I'll check out the trailers connection and brakes. As for the cart, the best is to do the controller and motor! IF you do a big motor without the controller, you will SMOKE the stock controller pretty fast, the new larger motor will over heat the controller. Im a dlr for Hi-Torque...lets see here.............they have an add for a RAPTOR clucbar motor, 6.1 hp at 36v without a controller upgrade. (I personally think you will blow a controller pretty quick with the big tires and motor) they are also saying you MUST HAVE excellent batteries, #4 cables or larger, good contacts on all V glide & F/R switches......apx $399 plus tax and shipping (pretty cheap!) let me know...TZ
ohhhhh....also have a 8hp at 36v and 11.4 at 48v for 90.00 more.....dlr prices are cool!

Thanks Toby, what's the cost for a new controller? What do you suggest? 400amp? I think I will have to do it in stages, $$$ is tight with the new boat and all, controller first, then the motor. We already upgraded the wires and the batteries are in great shape.
Thanks again,
Chris
