Don't have to twist my arm! :D Looks like I'll be in the water most of the time!! Proves to be good sun-tan weather though.

If it's around 110, it's just another day. Bought new fenders, in case someone has the urge to tie up and float downriver. Nothing like a leisurely float......

I cant wait to go, just thinking of the extra 6-8mph of current and being able to go that much faster means 40-45mph. woo hoo

Just think, that means 37 to 39 upriver.
I think one or two of the jets going just might be able to keep up with that v-drive. :D

It looks like the newbs are gonna have a tough time this year :D Forcasted temps at 109 and they're complaining. I don't know what they would have done last year when it got up to 127  :)
I hope someone told them about the "new guys stake out beach space for the rest of us at 5am" rule :) That and the "new guys schlep all of the event related crap down from the trucks while we're having a nice breakfast and b.s.ing with the rest of the veterans for an hour or so" rule :D :D :D
It's a wonder anyone ever comes to these things if they haven't been before :D
All kidding asside, I can't wait to get out there. 4 days and counting and right now we're wishin we had a couple extra to get everything together.

Got the circus boat all polished up this weekend (well, as much as it polishes up), the trailer is lubed and ready to go. Hell, even replaced the tach so I can actually tell what rpm I'm turning. It didn't stop there (like so many boat projects). With the new tach, the other gauges looked like crap, so I pulled them and reshot the bezels :D
Everything is ready to go, just waiting for the giveaways to arrive, then come on Thursday!

Do you think it would be possible to change the date of CBBB next year? I heard from alot of V-drivers that it clashes with the Long Beach Races and that is why there is a low showing on their part. I also would like to go to Long Beach, but CBBB is the same weekend, so I chose CBBB cause I would rather be at the river in my boat. It would be awesome to have CBBB the first weekend of August, just think, it would happen a week sooner. :)

CHP says no abnormal conditions (ie, same old construction) on I-40, and no issues on 62.

Some friends drove through there about 3 pm, 106 degrees, dropped to 66, 40-50mph winds, and golf ball sized hail for a few miles. then sunny and warm again. Be careful if you are driving through there. I am leaving here at 5. See you all there, will have cold beer.
