View Full Version : Aluminum Repairs?

I have some small cracks in my manifold a couple of the bolt areas and some genious's ghetto fab job to plug what i'm goign to assume was a hold for a temp sensor. Anybody in the so cal area know of a decient shop that fix these?

unless you have a buddy shop rate has to be at least 60.00 an hour plus your time to take it to them - then they will have to do the prep work unless you do it - then you still have an old alum manifold with welded bolt holes ? unless ya cant find what ya have i think it would be worth buying a new one -- but then again i'm made of money so i think !!!! my wife does't agree .

If there's a bunch of crap in the cracks (JB weld, bubble gum, etc.) it might turn into a nightmare to weld. Once you start welding all the crud starts boiling out and everything turns to junk. Might be time for a new manifold....

Ive got an edelbrock torker for a BBC to sell. Let me know if you're interested. Its in good shape, just needs a little cleaning.
