Well....
Attached is my first attempt at video capture, editing, compression & posting...
This video was taken from Mike Bobbitts 40 Skater during the 2005 SCOPE Catalina Poker Run....
The run from Long Beach to Catalina was about 14 minutes, but I have edited down to 4 minutes.....and added a bit of fine music !!!
The reason for the poor video quality on the forward facing camera is that the salt air was evaporating on the glass.....
It's amazing that 25 hours of work......Which I ruined many times.....produces only 4 minutes of viewing pleasure....
Thanks to Jeff Barrus for helping me with the basics of Adobe Premier Pro.
Enjoy !!!

I enjoyed the video tremendously. Anyone that has ever used Adobe Premiere knows the learning curve that program has! I appreciate you taking the time to cut it up and edit it for us to see like we were there:)

I believe that is the Long Beach to Catalina run. And the music is from PUddle of Mud, song is Blurry. I am getting that CD as soon as I can today. Great video. If you guys have the helicopter shots or video, we would love to see that as well.

Nice Video and as others have said great song...was the video shot with one or two cameras? If shot with two nice job hiding the opposing camera. Curious did soething happen at the end? It lookied like you guys were trying to look for something...maybe some hotties

Hey,
I'm really glad everyone liked the video....
It's been quite a bit of work to get it to this point...
I'm going to start editing some of the other video from 2005 and post it...
Yea, two cameras were used....
You can see them here......

Also, we were counting the "FASTER/Crazy" boats that beat us to Catalina.....
We were 5th out of about 120.......

That is a sweet video. What speed and size of rollers is that? Just wondering for us "trolling" boaters. hat has to be just a thrill to ride in the ocean at that speed. How long did it take to get to Catalina?
What software are you using for editing.
Ok, enough questions, it was great to watch!

Hey,
Was a bit of a wierd swell that day.....
Not too big, 2-3' or so I'd guess, but very irregular and hard to time....
Start to stop was about 12 minutes......Only cuz we stopped at Starbucks at about half way.....
Or we would have beaten that Pacific Marine Scarrab who made it first !!
It's painful, but I'm learning Adobe Premier Pro 2.0....Reminds me of high school calculus.....
