Ordered a custom Extreme trailer,blue,break-away etc... and was friggin shocked to hear they dont include tie-downs.Is this everybodys experience with new boat purchases? It's not the $30 or $40 but the principle, imagine going to pick up your new ride only to find out you don't have tie-downs.

I ordered an Extreme Trailer also, Red, swing hitch, brakes and spare tire option, torsion axles, match trailer paint to my dually.....after spending the bucks for that stuff another $40.00 bucks for the bitching tie downs was nothing....besides they worked me into their busy schedule and worked around my racing schedule... :)  :p

Funny that this should come up, I insisted that Dave threw in a set of tie downs when I bought my DCB 7 years ago. It wasn't usually a standard, which is why I have a red trailer and green tie downs (the only ones he had in stock :) ). If someone would post some pictures for me, (I still can't figure out how) I have some pics of a 22' Magic on the side of highway 95 from 3 weeks ago that are a good example of why tie downs are useful.

I really like Extreme trailers. Does anyone know if they make a size to fit a 35-38 Cig? 9 to 11k pounds? And how much would this run?

I don't know how much it would run, however they make great trailers from painted to galvanized. I even saw a stainless trailer at the Eliminator lot; almost chrome! They will do just about anything. I have been very happy with my Extreme trailer. And they look great no matter what model you get.

My last trailer was an Extreme, and it was the nicest trailer I have had. But, why a manufacturer would continue to use a tire (Carlisle) that continues to give consumers major problems is beyond me.

Bad day..
When I bought my boat, the person I bought it from couldn't figure out why I wanted to add transom ties. This post pretty much sums that argument up. My boat doesn't have D rings to tie to either, so I just run a strap around my jet.. Works fine and you won't find me on the side of the road like in the pics above.

My Extreme trailer came with tie down rings. I know it was not an option because I remember the only option I added to the trailer was, stainless fenders. But that was last year. Maybe they made it an option now. Seem's kind of stupid though. I don't know why anyone would not get tie down ring's on there boat and trailer. The picture posted is a prime example of why you need them.

My Extreme trailer came with the tie-down rings but not the actual tie-downs themselves.
