OK all you western WA jet boaters! Weather permitting...
Want to see how much fun it can be to run wide open for as long as your oil pressure holds? Come on up I-5 to Everett and we'll run on the Snohomish river. I'll post a map and some directions to Rotary Park boat launch tonight. :)

Hey Scott, you could bring up your wet bikes... it would be refreshing to see someone that knows how to drive on one. :D

Deep enough, don't you run a beer can boat anyway?
Let's put it this way, last time I was there a 32 foot ChrisCraft cabin cruiser came all the way up to snohomish!

From I-5 north take exit 195 (it's a two lane exit on the left side of the highway). You want to be in the right lane of the two exiting. You'll want to start slowing down as soon as you are on the offramp because you need to take the next right hand turn (it will sneak up on you). It will horseshoe around then straighten out up to a stopsign. Turn right onto S 3rd. This takes you through the tiny town of Lowell. You will pass a park on the left then the road will dogleg one block to the left, follow it. After a few more blocks you should come up to a 4-way stop. Turn left on the Lowell river road, it's pretty steep downhill for a couple blocks, then cross the railroad tracks. Once you're over the tracks you'll see a park at the river bend, go just around the corner past this and you'll see the sign for Rotary Park on the left.
If you would rather come up 405, just let me know, it's pretty easy that way too.
The City of Everett will nick us $3 to launch and in case the lot fills up (it holds around 24 truck/trailers), you can park on the side of the road. We've only had to do this once.

Hey Malcolm, if I made it up there could I park my boat at your place and then get a hotel in town? Really don't want my boat parked in a hotel parking lot.
Not sure what our schedule is just yet, will let you know more later.
Vern

No problem. I wish I had a big house like you guys, I'd put you up. You are welcome to camp out in the living room if you want. I also have a big front yard, if you have a tent? :)

If you want to go that route, there is both a Holiday Inn Express and a Best Western in Monroe. They're only 3 buildings apart and about 4 miles from my house.

I forgot where they were. I'm loosing it. To much to keep track of. I'll be up on the 21st. What time will you be there? I'll probably leave Puyallup around 8 or 9 in the morning. Might take me an hour & half to drive up there.

I'm guessing there's around 12-15 miles of runable river. More as the tide comes in. The tides for that day are:
LowLow - 3:19 am
High - 9:27 am
Low - 3:04 pm
HighHigh - 9:12pm
The tides won't be very extreme either, only about a 7 foot change after the morning high. Should make for some good water. :)

Well, it looks like the rain will be moving in on Saturday afternoon so this will be an early run. As long as the weather is OK in the morning I'll be heading down to the river around 10:00.
