Went to elsinore this past weekend and on my way into COORS lite cove there were two hazard bouys one on each side. Water level dropping fast even though at the far side of the cove a steady stream of what seems to be clear water. My buddy who isnt that tall was able to walk completely across the cove. For those with I.Os goeing into the cove get a roll goeing stay to the right trim all the way up and float into the cove. After your in stay to the middle find a spot and enjoy all that elsinore has to offer. Had a good time met some really friendly people and made a few speed runs. Cant just let it sit in the driveway if you know what I mean. Looks like HAVASU in two weeks anybody goeing out ?

Elsinore is a better choice hands down

We went to Smellsamore two Saturdays ago. We got there around 10 and lauched at Marina West. No wait at all, plenty of parking. I went to the cove and met the local S/O Deputies coming out on their PWC's. They confirmed the high speed zone was closed, but since we asked, they said to go ahead and make some passes. They were way cool!
Going into the cove we entered on the right side and made it clear. Coming out we stayed left and kept hitting the mucky bottom with the outdrives. It was our 1st time in the cove. Not a bad place to hang out, just don't wade in the water. The bottom is so mucky that at times we sank up to our knees in gook! Not to mention the foul odor of the bubbles that came up from the bottom goo!
All in all, still WAY better that Perris. No 35 MPH limit, much cooler patrol officers, and no where near the numbers of lake lice.

They both suck in different ways, but I would choose Elsinore as well.

Stupid question here...
Where on the lake is this cove?

It is hidden well, you cannot even see it, I did not know it was there until ntwotrance guided me back there. If you launch at Marina West it is on the exat opposite side of the lake, idle through the no wake zone and you will find it.

I used to look at that map and get confused. Just to let you know the side opposite of the cove is Marina West.
BTW: The cove is SMALL.

If you stay in the middle you should not hit the bottom, I heard it is very low right now. I might see you out there one time, I should be making all my trips the Elsinore to end the season just after CBBB.

If the funds hold up, I will probably be bating every weekend until sometime in mid Sept, then stuff starts to interfere. I have serious boat make up to do.. Kind of like work... Not..

I hear ya, I usually go there through the winter too, but I want to build the motor this winter, so who knows.
