brian i don't want to hijack your thread, i was just wondering how your boat is plumbed. i have the same boat(blown jet) with lightnings and am looking for pointers on plumbing. thanks sam.

let's see here, don't have any really good pics of plumbing, but, basically, water comes in from jet, through oil cooler, then splits into each cylinder head. Then water comes out of intake manifold individually into each header. Normally with over transom headers (i.e. Bassetts), you would have hard lines feeding water to cool headers. In this case wiith the Lightnings we just used short rubber hoses with t-fittings to feed each individual exhaust.
Hope to have answered some questions. If not, i can take a couple pics tomorrow and show you.

thanks brian, mine is basically the same but i come out of the intake manifold, and go into a seperate remote water manifold then feed the headers and a dump out of the manifold. recently i noticed h20 in the oil so i am wondering if i am overpressurizing the engine.

Here is a picture I took at Eliminator showing the header plumbing on a blown 21 Daytona. Line on the right comes from the output on the intake.
