I posted this question before and im still at a loss. My 455 takes forever to start when its cold. It took about 10 minutes to get it started last night. when it finally cranked and warmed up, it would crank back up right away. It runs ok so obviously it has fire and fuel. I can't figure out whey its doing this. I run a tunnel ram, complete msd ignition system, and dual carbs. Any suggestions?

The only time mine was hard to get started was when my acc. pump died. The funny thing was, once it was warm it ran fine.

Mine does it all the time. WTF. It really pisses me off. I have a new cap and rotor. Could it be plug wires? They are about 4 yrs old.

Have you rebuilt the carbs??? Sometimes the carbs will leak back if they sit for a long time..
Or take off the scoop cover.. no air man.. :D

Trade in those Edelbrock carbs for a pair of holleys or demons! :D
Not to be a hater, but I've had the worst luck with those damn edelbrocks......

Just a thought. What about timing? Is it fixed or are you running an advance curve? Allot of jets have thier timing fixed at full advance. It would make it harder to start.
