I am heading out on vacation for 8 days on Sunday morning. We will be staying in Parker hopefully enjoying some quality river time. Does anyone know what the weather is like? I'm hearing about monsoons in Havazoo and near by. Any info would help.
Thanks

Monsoons predicted all weekend, starting to clear up Sunday Morning, but that's no guarantee.
Today-high 90s, wind, rain, lightning, dust, PWCs.
Tomorrow-more of the same
Sunday and beyond- low 100s, late monsoon storms possible.

Some friends of mine made the reservations. I think it is called Emerald Cove on the CA side. It should be a long overdue good time. I just hope there is a Starbucks near by! :D

The weather was awesome this morning... Don't let the fear of monsoons keep you away... Just remember to keep an eye out for the weather early morning and late afternoon and you'll be fine... I was out on the lake this morning and it was great, but I did leave early because I knew to watch for the weather... It's when you stay out to long and don't pay attention to the warning signs, your going to have a problem with the weather...

Rule of thumb this time of year is keep an eye to the sky. When it starts looking bad head for the trailer and batten the hatches down. If you can keep an eye on the weather channel and there radar. These darm t-storm will creep up on you if your not carfull.

At this point a little bit of wind or water will not keep me away. ;)

Rvrtoy, I am just up river from Emerald Cove at the Rio Del Colorado. There is a restaurant on the water called "Rio"...we'll be on the beach north of the launch ramp (by the grass)...
I'll keep an eye out for you!

A bunch of the US (http://www.havasudoug.com/kh3rdannualrivertrip.shtml) group will, also, be staying at the RIO! :D
Then again, some of us will be staying in the Keys. :D

You can always get the latest weather and doppler radar pics at any of the local LA tv stations, i use KFWB.com for weather too, KABC TV is good for the doppler and not as many popup ads.
