this is where you count the speed that it has been towed on the trailer. Mine has the same top speed on the trailer and the water. Damn Chevy governer.

:D My ford is pulled around by a CHEVY. so the governer will hold it to a respectable level. :D

Mine has been to an estimated 60. No GPS, just raced my bro on his wave runner. With a few adjustments I pulled him a little, so maybe 62-63. When I get it put back together, Im hoping for 100+.

Got mine up to arround 90+ just the other day !
it was still hooked to the back of the truck :D
I did run several jetskis while I had it off the trailer one was a fuel injected 1200 polaris 3 seater that decided he would catch my blindside and roost me as he went by , He never made it by me . When he saw that I was pullin him , the chicken $h1^ turned away and backed out  I will have the GPS with me on the next run then I'll know a number but as of right now , it's the fastest damn 16 footer I have ever ridden in , "Pure Adrenilin " :D

I was able to walk away from and make the driver cry that was on a turbo honda PWC... have know idea how fast they go though.... He started passing me on the right, and I let him go a bit.... then thought "what the hell" I smoked by him pretty fast and you could see the struggle and dissapointment on his face..... After I hit the no wake zone... he came up and said "wow. your fast, I thought these turbo Honda's were supposed to be the fastest thing around... thats what the dealer said". I have a 1978 Haskell with a 454BBC

I bougt this 85 Bahner, 2 years ago, on e-bay. After working on it off and on for the past 2 years. I took it out 2 times, 2nd time I brought my new GPS. It runs a dissapointing 69.8. The engine had a slight miss, and I have not tried adjusting anything yet, shoe, rideplat, wedge, etc. But I think I could sqeeze another 5 mph out of it.

I sit in the boat and have the wife drive me up and down the highway @ 75mph just so I can see what it feels like. But when she is not willing to amuse me, we can make 65 on GPS, less with chop, w/455 and Berk 12JC-B. The kids are looking for more speed. :D

I got my BBC '79 Bahner to go 87 mph on GPS with a passenger. First 2 runs were 85mph. The last run was the best of 87 due to the smoother water. Should be alot faster when I bolt on the 8.71 Dyers and install the rideplate.
The boat has gone 101 behind my dually.

How fast is your jet? What kind of question is that. You know damn well that they all do 100! :D The old challenger did a clean 77 on gps. The hydro jet I am restoring came with a track sheet stating that it ran 102mph. I don't know the et. I doubt with me owning it that it will ever see 80. Well maybe on the trailer! :shift:

I'm running 43mph on the gps. But you know, the uhhhh secondaries aren't kicking in all the way..... yeah
Acutally I stuffed a droop on last night and it seemed to help quite a bit. Adjusted the cav plates up too. Starting to get this big lug out of the water a bit. Gotta get some batteries for the GPS and see what she does now.... :D

78 even on GPS with just me and near full tanks. I think if I adjust the rideplate a little (pull some shims) and run it with half tanks I could see just a shade over 80.

Just stiring the pot. If your's a 23 footer and 572's a 21 footer then apples to oranges.
My jet? 100 mph with 650 hp. Qualifiers:
Alt: 1200 ft
OAT: 80 F
Humidity: Low
Fuel: 1/2 tanks
No Pax
No anchor
No cooler
Only front stereo not back (100 lbs)
Mufflers installed...yup
Dock gas...yup
Did I hold throttle for long, try different trim, plate angles, etc...nope. Just long enough to capture this...

And I do make claims time to time...but most on this board have already heard them. So no doubt they're thinking...

The manafold is drilled and tapped and awaiting the new PRO SHOT FOGGER installation. I'll try this stuff out before I install the BIG, CUSTOM Carb.
