Hey Guys,
Curious what type of maintenance might be a good idea on a roots-style B&M 174 blower. I've only put 40 hours on it, but have no idea what the previous owner may/may not have done to it. Thought it might be a good winter project if I increase my boost next year...
And no jabs about the "cute, little blower..." I'm just happy to have a running boat at this point... Ha, thanks. :)

You can send it in to holley for service. Those are great "little" blowers. I bought one a while back in satin finish for a small block ford I was building. They put out tons of power and they don't weigh anything. Sorry I am not more help.

anything a do-it-yourselfer can do short of sending it back to Holley?

If it boosts OK and isn't noisy I would just drain and fill the front endplate oil. Whipple uses 85w synthetic, check with Holley for their recommendation. Don't overtighten the 4 mounting bolts to the intake. 15 ft. lbs. max.
