I know I just got a boat but as always I want more. I been looking at the Kachina Force 26. Does anyone have any info on the company and the boats?

Are you sure you wanna know?
We just got our 26' Force in February (actually started the process in October last year). We love it. We looked at all the local manufacturers and they all wanted huge amounts of cash for thier boats, no bells or whistles either. We stumbled onto Kachina through a friends recommendation, and Voila, we're the proud owners of "It's a Scream"

We love our 26' Force, lots of room down below and the fades and gel is off the hook! Downside, you gotta spend a little extra to keep up with Frenchie and the other shockwave owners. My boat goes just as fast as Louie said it would, but not as fast as I hoped it would. Poor Force 26 keeps looking at Frenchie's backside :(
Bottom line, I love the boat and if I had to do over again, it would still be the Kachina.

What?!?!?!? I can think of two builders off hand that pretty much give you everything you really need in a boat standard. I can also think of others that nickel and dime you to death.

Most of the builders I shopped wanted to do the nickel and dime thing. "You want 2 batteries? Oh sure we CAAN do that, but it's a little more" Some tossed it all in. Kachina came pretty well equipped. I know for a little more there are better boats. I also loved what they were willing to do graphics wise.
Take it easy Frenchie, save a little for this weekend.

Like I said leave the trailer out a little. Also, don't put it in neutral at the last second, the boat will cock off to the side.

I don't put it in neutral at the last second, we need all the power we can get to get up into that "high" trailer.........Our friends had trouble this weekend as well, and they have been boating longer than we have. So you never have trouble with your trailer? :angry2: It's for me, more than anything, I wonder if I am putting the trailer too deep. Do you put your wheels underwater?
and the name is FLANAGAN, a good irish name :clover:

Just kidding Ms. Flanagan... from Mr. Red Hair Eagle of Irish/Norwegian heritage.
NOw about that trailer. With my 30 foot Eagle, depending on the ramp angle, I used to leave about 3 or 4 feet of the bunks out of the water and drive it up. I had done it in strong cross wind/current situations (I had the local commander from the Coast Guard Aux. that was at the ramp doing courtesy exams, run up and tell me he'd never seen someone put such a large boat on like that in those conditions) out in the Delta.
If you leave enough of the trailer out of the water, it will center itself. I never had a problem with it w/o the guides. :shift:

Yes the wheels are submerged and a 3 to 4 foot length of the bunks are out of the water. I got it on straight every time but once... and I just touched the fenders with the chine.
Yeah and I was trying to think of the conflict between Irish and Vikings... but all the Vikings ever did was rape, pillage and drink a lot... the irish just drink a lot... So I'll make the irish part of me the bar keep.

Then I think you have it in too deep... it is best to drive the boat up the trailer bunks the last couple of feet with the engine. the boat will be on there right and no dings...
Hard to say w/o seeing you load it up. Btw when do you get the "skullduggery" back?

Rexone (the great) posted this in the past.....
Here's a message I've posted in the past on this...
================
First thing is you must have your image hosted somewhere on the internet.. This can be ***boatimage center or elsewhere, doesn't matter. What you can't do is have it on you own computer and have it appear in a thread.
Assuming you done the above...
Bring the image up on screen wherever you have it hosted (we'll assume ***boat image center for now).
Right click on the image
A drop down menu will appear at the bottom will be properties
Click on properties.
A window will popup showing information on the photo.
One of the thing will be the URL address which starts with http....
Highlight the address (starting with the http) with your cursor
Go do edit on your tool bar (edit) and click "copy" (this copys the address you just highlighted to the clipboard on your computer)
Now go to the thread you want to post in (a second window open is handy for this)
When you post you will see a series of buttons at the top of the posting window.
Click on IMG.(only this is a mountain scene button now)
A separate window will pop up that will have http.... in it. The http... will be highlighted. Hit delete. Now the box will be blank.
Now go to your tool bar again (edit) and click on "paste".
This pastes the address of the picture (which you copied earlier) into the little window.
Click done or whatever it says to complete. You will now see the image address code appear within your posting window.
Its important you only have one http series within your IMG tags which is the reason we hit delete above. Otherwise you end up with two and it won't work.
When finished your code should look something like this (with no spaces) and substituting [ ] for my ( ).
(IMG]http://yourpictureaddress[/IMG)
You can type message above or below the IMG tags but don't disturb them or anything between them because that is your picture address code.
In other words you could have...
--------------------------------
Hi, this is my boat
(IMG]http://yourpictureaddress[/IMG)
For more info call such and such.... and so on.
------------------------------
In the above example one line of text would appear above your photo and one below. The part between the IMG tags is your photo.
hope that helps.

Truth be told, My son puts the boat on the trailer. I just taught him this year. Yes, the wheels are all the way under. But that changes at different ramps.
