Has anyone installed the Raylar upgrade setup for the 496 HO yet? Sounds like some good stuff and not too risky as far as the motor longevity is concerned, but I am interested to know if the horsepower gain on an actual boat is worth the $

Can the bottom end handle the added HP that this product advertises?

Raylar says no problem. The added performance problem typical of the 496 HO is that the pistons are weak and will not stand up to a supercharger.

the pistons are not weak they are just not good if you want a lot of boost
nothing over 5psi the rest of the moter can hold up very well
