What kind of fuel economy ( or lack thereof ) could I expect from a bone stock 454 in a 21 foot hull at about 17-1800 lbs?
I'm considering a 21 ft aluminum sport hull with the 454 and a berk jg, but am concerned about fuel usage.

Yeah what he said! :D
My fuel consumption still sucks ass with a stock 460 running a vacuum secondary 625.

Measuring fuel usage/economy by MPG (miles per gallon) isn't reasonable or accurate . GPH (gallons per hour) is a little more reliable. Myself, I measure my fuel usage by DPD (dollars per day) :D
For me it's anywhere from 50-100 DPD. No long term WOT runs, crusing at about 5000 RPM's most fo the day and occasional WOT at 6400 RPM. Can't help it sometimes :)

Saw an old Powerbaot mag test on my 454/330 in the Taylor LP and the test results said 2.66 MPG.
I used my GPS to total the miles driven in one day vs. fuel usage and came up with less than 2MPG, a figure I didn't need or want to know... :(
I do like the $$PD way of looking at things. :D
