Hey Toe -B
do you have a good link for a long range Doppler radar site? Mostly for PHX area?

Kenny I talked to Toby earlier, he was slammed at the tower due to the weather.

Ken,
That's about the best one with a still pictures. Thanks Sleek. ;)
If you use the loops option on the left side of the page, you can see how/where the storms are moving. I actually use that page upstairs in the tower to get a decent idea of where it's going. We have awesome Doppler and sat weather RADAR but they just give an realtime image of it and that doesn't help much when I want to know what it's doing.
Sorry so late in getting back to you. I was down the proverbial shitter at work last night. Again, planes backed up like a bad burrito stuck in...well, you get the picture. A total of 156 planes delayed last night from 5:30 to 10:00 with the average delay of 38 minutes, maximum of 56 minutes.
I think I'm calling in sick today. :D

You'll get a kick outta this...
A United Airbus had to land at Winslow, AZ (standing on a corner..........) because the arrival rate was so low and he was holding burning up fuel. So he lands at INW (Winslow) and sits there with his passengers cooped up in that tin can for 2 hours.
His dispatch calls to the tower and asks when he's gonna get let in and it's not my control so I tell him I've no idea. He gets mad at me (he simply called the wrong number it turns out) and I start singing that song to him.
Well, sure enough here UAL comes after about 45 minutes and he lands well enough and as he taxis in, somebody starts singing that same song on the ground control frequency. Nobody ever fesses up to it, but it's funnier than hell. :D

I like this one and the one Toby posted. They have the best detail. This one you can scroll to adjacent maps by clicking on the edge of the screen and you can customize your overlay of freeways, cities, and frame speed. Check it out:
