Took this photo early this morning. A big thunderstorm nailed us here in Havasu for over 5 hours. The lightning was just off the hook! :supp:

Oh I totally love it. There is something about lightning that just gets me going. Sure I can help you out with camera settings anytime. It's fairly easy. Just takes a good digital camera and some practice. We have had thunderstorms here in Havasu most every day since last week. I've been loving it! Tonight it's so far clear. Nothing happening at the moment. Here is another.

I hear ya. I bought myself a Canon Digital Rebel (SLR) for Christmas and it takes killer shots. Even long dark exposures get no noise. I'll be in Parker for Labor Day, hopefully a killer storm will come through...

I'll be in Parker at my river house also over Labor Day. Stop on by. My house is one mile up river on the AZ side from the blue water casino. Just look for my black 68 el camino parked on the side of that house. Also it's the only house with a chimmy. Hope to meet up with ya...

RRM, that is the best lightning shot I have ever seen. I heard that storm today was a good one. Enjoy it.

thanks, it was a good storm and lasted like over 5 hours. Got quite a bit of rain also. The lightning was off the hook!

Most hate monsoon season. I love it. Great pics of the lightning. Nothing like a 90 degree rainstorm!

We were at Park Moabi last weekend during the storms. On Friday, it was raining hard and lightning was striking all over. I went to get something from my boat that was anchored in the water and on my way back to shore a lightning bolt that looked like a fire bolt hit a tree about 100 yards away. The thunder struck in a split second and was the loudest damn thing I've ever heard. It scared the $hit out of me and everyone else around us. The tree was on fire and burned for about a half hour befor Needles fire dept. showed up and put it out. Lightning storms are cool and all but that one hit a little to close to home.
