But I didn't hit anything!!!!!! I will accept smart A$$ remarks made in good fun though. But my real question is, how the heck did this happen? I didn't hit anything, it looks like it started with a stress crack and eventually broke the rest of the way off. You threw a blade. It falls under the shit happens catagory. Generally, there was a casting flaw in the prop from the factory. The blade work hardened until it finally broke. The same thing happens when you bend a piece of metal repeatedly. Look at the crack that forms, it's the same as yours. After the metal cracks, if you take the piece and twist if off, you'll get the second part of your crack. Often surfacing the prop will make this problem worse. The prop could be repaired, but it's generally not worth it. Try to keep an eye on your props. A small crack can be easily repaired before it gets to this point.
