But I didn't hit anything!!!!!! I will accept smart A$$ remarks made in good fun though. But my real question is, how the heck did this happen? I didn't hit anything, it looks like it started with a stress crack and eventually broke the rest of the way off. I thought I had a misfire about half way through the dam run and discovered this when I got off of the water.http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1284Broken_prop_002.jpg

Is it labbed?
Nope, box stock. I've heard of that happening on the offshore racers with the paper thin lab jobs.

Yeah, gonna make some phone calls on Monday. I feel like a dork, running around telling people " Dang, I got a heck of a misfire. I don't know what's wrong..." That, from a certified tech.

I would get ahold of Ron Hill Propellers. www.hillmarine.com he is the i/o and outboard specialist, he can hook you up for less than anyone.

Better that you found it now than when you were plugging the diagonstic equipment in.
Which reminds me of a story. A couple years ago, I was using my boat to help a boatload of moochers...errr..."friends" learn how to wakeboard. Well, sure enough, the boat broke about an hour into it.
The engine revs, but it won't go in gear. So, as the captain of the ship, I begin the task of hunting down the problem. After I have the shifter (and part of the dash) apart, my one "friend" said, "uh Houston, we have a problem."
"What" I asked.
"Aren't we supposed to have a prop on the outdrive?"
Yep...the nut came loose, and my new stainless was sent to the bottom of Havasu. One of my finer moments.

WHAT RPM WERE YA TURN'N :)
It's reverse that'll pull it off the splines.
Maybe if the moochers...err..."friends" weren't falling so much, it wouldn't have happened!

That's better than the sunglasses I left down there. I don't feel so bad about them now.
Well, it sounds like I'm not gonna be out of pocket on this one. I was sick about having to drop money on a new prop.
