View Full Version : looking for a rack

ok ok, get your minds off the boobs. what im looking for is a rack and pinion steering unit. you know, the one with the aluminum housing and round tubing at each end. i know some of you have replaced your old rack and pinion and went with the new rotary style. i want to try and make a custom deal out of one that uses two cables instead of one. sort of like the race style cable units that youve seen, but this will use the same cables as the single unit. that way if one breaks the other will still work and not put you out of control. plus it will allow you to adjust the play in the steering with both cables acting as a pull-pull. so if anyone has one they want to get rid of, please let me know.

thats a real cool set up and thanks for the pic. it gives me some more ideas. but im still in need of the rack and pinion itself. i know theres got to be a bunch of em out there somewere. but in the meantime, ill let my mind ponder that pic and set up some more. very cool. thanks.. :D
