Im planning a couple of days up river with the family after a few days on havasu. Has anyone stayed at the AVI? How is it? Are there beach rooms? What rooms are the best to request when staying there? Are the boats safe in the parking area?
Thanks

Stayed there many times and love it. Was just there Thursday night... the water level is really low right now though, couldn't put the boat in the water... this was the LOWEST I had ever seen it, never had problems before...
The rooms are nice and affordable. Launch ramp is good although the current can be a little strong so you just gotta be ready. There is plenty of parking for the boats. There is a new "Beach wing" that has rooms that over looks the water a little closer than the others. So overall I think it is a good stay. Always have a great time there... usually there for Mothers Day so this was a first to stay there later than May. Their website shows some pics too and has rates online.

Just syayed there for CBBB and did so last year also. They have security patrollin' after dark and I haven't had nor heard of any bad things occurin' in the lot. I think your rig will be OK......and the ""Beach Wing" is definitely the way to go. Exits right out to the parkin' lot, close to the beach, and the launch ramp is "right there". Don't fret and enjoy! BTW, just a note, but you won't find a better buffet than The Avi's too.

Check the forum at CBBB's website, there is a lot of info. Ground floor windows are screwed shut... :(

Been there the last two years for the CBBB event :shift: great place, no problems with security. Get a room in the new wing if possible, facing the beach. The windwows are not one way so be careful what you and your wife do in front of them

Beach wing ground floor. real close to your boat.
The ground floor windows (beach side) have so much hard water deposits on them they are damn near frosted.
Good hospitality, buffet, and we even won about $500 outta them dollar slots at CBBB.

Great place. But dont stay on the upper floors of the beach wing on a busy day. Only one elevator that takes forever. But, they have one electronic machine in the casino that paid out at least $400 or $500 bucks. Paid me each time. Its over by the wall, and has the letters A - T - M on it. Easy game to play. :jawdrop:
