Hmmm,
First, You forgot to post a pic with you in it...
Second.. You forgot to thank your sister Katrina for allowing us to store and work on 3 jets in her back yard.
Third... You're Welcome! I wish we had an hour meter that shows exactly how may hours WE ALL have put into this thing. I don't know how many times we have been let down in so many different ways on this project. It is quite a relief to get this thing moving.
SKOM - Billy
Here is a pic with Rob (180 Out) in it.

180 Degrees Out

This Jet boat is a 1978 19 foot Omega Day Cruiser with a Panther Jet, powered by a Chevy 454. My cousin bought it new, about 10 years ago my dad aquired 1/2 intrest with my cousin, and I bought my cousins 1/2 about 4 years ago. This boat was all original, the engine was a little tired but it always ran well. I believe it was 4th of July weekend 2002, maybe 2001 I scrambled the 454 at Bartlett Lake. With my dad and I arguing on what we should do or better yet who should do the work on the engine it sat for 6 months or so.
Finally with a little encourgement from my friend Keith, we pulled it out of the boat and opened it up. Just as we thought I had spun the berrings. I soon was on my way to the machine shop to start the process of building a engine.
My dad and I agreed that what we wanted was "a good strong engine". Well, I had only had the block and crank at the shop for 2 or 3 days when my dad ran into some old hot rod buddies from high school. "class of 1953". And that same afternoon I was told to go get the block and crank, and bring it to his old pals shop because that is where we were going to have the overhaul.
To be continued.......................
