Peeps,
A buddy of mine is going through a divorce and is getting rid of his 2003 25' Daytona. He has about 40 hours on a 496 HO. It has IMCO dual ram steering, Gaffrig controls, big stereo. He wants someone to take over the payments only, or give him what he owes.

How does the take over payment thing work?
From what I understand, you fill out a credit app just like you were buying his boat, then they transfer the loan from his name to yours.

I believe it does. He lives in Las Vegas. Are you serious? If so, I'll call tomorrow and make sure of all the details. I just saw him last weekend and the boat is awesome.

sounds very interesting, i would like to know more about the taking over of the payments, i dont really want to spend all my money at once. Only being a 496 HO what drive does it have and gear, along with MPH? Let me know.
I has a standard Bravo 1 with IMCO dual ram steering and drive shower. I have seen him run about 76-77 mph depending on his load. He spins a 26P labbed prop at 5000 rpm so that is about right.
Another suggestion is to buy out the loan and refinance under your own terms. Just a thought. Thanks for the inquiry

I can't get close to those #'s with my 26 DCB with the 496HO ??? I pulled a 72mph is the best I can do

I personally would start off on a different foot as a newbie and not come in here talking a bunch of crap about how your kids view this page regularly (it is 18 and over and you agreed to that when you registered) first of all. Secondly, if the avatar of bre holding a couple beer bottles is that offensive to you, I suggest you check out another site all together. Something along the lines of www.disney.com as I've seen more suggestive images on TV than in Bre's avatar.
Other than that, welcome to ***boat. :D

It means this thread started out with someone selling their boat and all the sudden you changed it up to be about something else.
Much like you did in the thread where JetBoatGuru was selling his boat in the V-drive forum and you wanted to know about avatars.
Hijack equates to off topic. Typically that stuff happens in the Sandbar, the general social area and isn't a big deal.

Sorry CEO, I forgot to mention that 76 mph number was right out of the shute with no gear and about 2 gallons of gas. My bad. 70-72 sounds about right with gear and fuel.

The avitar you mention does not violate the rules of the site; you allowing your kids to view the site does....if you don't like the avitar, you can go to another site that might be less risque...you have that option.

He is paying about $800 per year I think. But, he also lives in LV and things are cheaper there. I will have to say it would be around $1000 or more per year. Just a guess though.

thor, whazz up bradda!!?? your buddy's boat is SWEET :D it looks very familiar. it's too bad he has to get rid of it :mad: i've never seen his rig on mead though, does he usually go to havasu? i wish him luck with the sale, hope to see your ride on the water some day.
i like his idea of heading out with next to no fuel and no gear just to see what the absolute top end is. someday i'll take the time to do that too.....who am i kiddin', i'm just happy to go the lake at all :D
