Need some help finding out what my boat would be worth on a trade in or selling outright.
1998 Eliminator 21' Daytona, 502, set back Legend Jet, hydraulic Place Diverter, B&M 250 blower, dual holleys, super chillar, bimini, ski pole, etc.
I'm thinking $25-30,000. Is that low or high?
Might be getting a bigger boat.

Thanks Bre!
That helps a bunch.
What do you think the difference in price is for a jet as opposed to a sterndrive? All other things being equal-$2-4,000?
Thanks again.
Dean
Oh yeah... love your avatar

I really don't think there would be a price difference.... it all depends on where the buyer plans on using the boat at. Some prefer jet..some prefer stern.
I don't think people would buy a jet just because it is cheaper...... doesn't make sense..... you either want a stern drive or a jet.....to suit your needs of where you boat most often.

Go to NADA and you can price your boat out there
NADA.COM

I think you are in the ball park with the price, the 21' Daytonas are always in demand. The problem that you run into is that it is difficult to get financing on a used boat, and not everyone has that kind of cash laying around. Put it up in the Jet forum, you will get better feedback there as this forum is mostly larger cats and i/o's.

While most would agree to check out the NADA guidebook, do it so that you
will know what the banks will use to establish value for the purpose of borrowing money. And leave it at that. The NADA book is a straight line
depreciation guidebook that does NOT consider current market values or
conditions etc. In other words, they print their values that they receive from
the manufacturers and then depreciate a certain percentage per year,
irregardless of market conditions and influences. In other words, a Bayliner
will depreciate at the same rate as a Schiada or an eliminator or a Conquest.
I don't think so.
Personally, I think $25,000 to $30,000 is a great price but probably where the
deal will end up. Good luck, PS--most banks will loan about 125% of wholesale value after adding for items such as trailers, options and motor
upgrades. PSS--the NADA book is usually about 40% lower than the real market value of any west coast custom boat.

I've Been Looking At Them Yours Looks Great.i Would Say 30,000 To 35,000.i Found A 91 For 29,000 Not As Nice As Yours.i Have A 2005 Priced Out At 44,000 No Engine.

Not that I doubt you Keith , but according to your statement , My 2000 Shockwave skier according to NADA is 35K, adding your math its worth 49K. I think I want to sell it right now.....

That is definately a sharp looking 21' Daytona. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of top end are you seeing out of it?

Best has been mid 80s on an Etrek gps unit.
Although the ranger at Buena Vista said he had me at 90. He was in his car on the dirt levee on the far side of the lake trying to keep up.
He was pretty cool about it though....no ticket.
People said he was fishtailing and throwing dirt and rocks everywhere. Hilarious!
