I don't know about you guys (and gals), but with all the squabbling going on this board has gone to shit. How about everyone trying to get along and talk boats, beers, girls and other stuff that most of us come here to enjoy. Just my thoughts. I hope no one is going to swim over now and pull my plug. :cool:

I think ***boat did some house cleaning and got rid of atleast one person who had several names on these boards, but as soon as they figure out what to do with the unremovable cookie ***boat put in his computer, he/they will probably be back - but they are easy to identify. I really think that it was one or two people causing problems.

565, I know you and HBjet get on each others nerves, but I have been going through the archives of threads and there is a trend......not many people like you. Heck, I gave you 5 stars early on and you still are averaging 1 star. HBJet is liked by a lot of people on these boards, and has a few who don't like him.
It is funny how some fun trash talking has elevated to blatant personal attacks on people who have never met. But that is the online community. What someone else thinks is light humor, the reader takes as harsh criticsm. I personally now take the attitude that everyone is playing and if anyone has harsh words for me, I take it as if it were my buddy gettin' my goat and havin fun....it does not go past that.

For the record....HBjet is over this place for now.
When HBjet and Chet go back and fourth its all in fun for them, and Chet has never disrespected me.
When HBjet and RR001 go back and fourth its a true pissing match, but slowy has never disrespected me by draging me name into it. I think if them two ever met face to face they would get along fine. We even tried to get Slowy out here for OP6.
As for 565Edge/MillerKiller/HBjetblows, and I believe he had another name from another time he got booted (KillinMilla I think)...well that alone speeks for itself.

FYI - These forums will no longer allow people to just make up as many AKA's as they want. Only 1 board name to an e-mail address from this point forward, and they e-mail the password to that address so that people enter actual e-mails. Sure, you can go get free e-mails all over, but it puts a few more hurdles in the way of just stupid stuff.

Just so you guys know, the people who wanna come on here and Be Jerks, are gonna get booted, permenately. A few weeks ago At the Nordic Regatta, I chatted w/ a friend, (and influential officer @ HB). He told me that the "Shit talkers, troublemakers, rude people are gettin booted...for good. Cant come back." They have afew things changin, that we will start to notice soon. So Fuggetabout those people. They wont be here soon enough MissHBJet. :)

I can understand the feelings in general. I try and stay out of the pissing matches, especially the "who has the fastest boat" ones. I find that the caliber of people who get caught up in that kind of juvenile discussion generally have nothing to contribute to the boards other than b.s. While I do admit to some good spirited ribbing here and there, I also attempt to lend a hand when someone poses a question on here that I feel I can help with. I am just about at the same point HB is at right now with being over these boards. Although with the absence of one notable individual, it has calmed down a bit.

Kenfrem builds strong heavy utility type river boats. They aren't built for speed, more for camping and hunting in my opinion. They sell their hulls in any stage of finish which is a mistake, cause I've seen some these things running up the river that the owners have finished very shitty. Pay the extra and buy an Eagle step-tech hull or Sabre type boat if you are thinking of a alumunim boat.

I am sort of new to these boards and I was just reading this thread, and wanted to add my two cents. I think that these boards are amazing and very helpful. I have come to these boards in time of need and not once have I not gotten a response to help me out. I would like to thank HB for providing these forums to discuss problems. Without them I would still have a bad foot throttle, an overheating boat, and weak rooster tail. Thanks again HB

I was home this last weekend for the first time in a while and did not even think about people being away. You get used to real quick replies and then a couple days go by and Hot Boat did do some house cleaning of AKA board names and I jumped to some conclusions. This "bench racing" forum was designed to fail by HBM admin. Like cutting a branch off the tree spawning. That the branch continues living shows an audience with interest? So what? To ban posters good OR bad is puritanical, with visions of Falwell, certainly AOL-like, and downright anti-internet to me. Borderline unAmerican.
Don't like what RR1 or whoever posts? Just ignore. Or get over it. No big deal. Get caught up in the challenge? Then post away and hold your own if you can. No big deal. If you don't like the trend of a thread, don't waste your time reading or posting to it. Simple.
Why resort to censorship? To me that's opposite of what the internet and these forums are all about. You want tips on tuning...plenty of threads to read...enjoy, and ignore the rest. You want National Enquire like boating soaps...plenty of threads here too. At least until censorship takes over. Not something I want.
