Pioneer doesn't make a marine remote, so that's out the window. The Access technoligies marine remote is a direct plug into the steringwheel remote plug on the headunit..

That is correct Pioneer does make one, it is similar in build to the Access tech. piece. Let me know if you are interested I know we have them in our main warehouse.

Bill-
I don't have my stereo model number with me, but it was a new pioneer that you installed. Would this work for a transom mount with mine? Let me know.

I'm not RB, but any PIONEER stereo that has the steeringwheel remote option will work with this remote. :)

Thanks for the info. I've read all the info you've put out on the boards and I appreciate the response. Riverbound had installed a new head unit for us and the wireless remote is nice, but a transom mount would be better. Wouldn't have to worry about dropping it(Kids have done that!) and could change the tunes while in the water. Thanks for the info again.

Just make sure you mount in a place on the transom that it will not get bumped....I know alot of folks that second guess themselves after this upgrade cause it is always getting bumped from people climbing in and out or sitting on the transom/swimstep

I have an idea of where to mount it, and it was on the opposite side of the swim step/aqua step. Thanks for the headsup. With kids thought-is anything ever safe? Especially a 4 and 1 year old! Thanks again.

Todd,
I dont remember which radio I put in your boat but I think it was the dehp660 which is compatile with the marine radio remote. If your radio is not compatible we can figure something out on upgrading. I'm not in the shop much anymore so let me know which radio you have and we will figure something out.
How is everything working out for you? any problems with the stereo work we did for you?
Let me know
Bill
