It's opening weekend for the Casino.
Traffic on HWY 65 could Potentionally be a disaster.
Right now it's backed up all the way down onto I- 80.
Cal highway patrol say's it's a dead stop
all the way down 65, both directions.
Better get to CFW early to be safe.
I was going to go Friday after work.
Now I'm not so sure, I might wait until Saturday morning. eek!

You know, that was a bunch of crap, those highway patrol and news stations don't really see what's going on.. I was going through there today doing 80 mph as the radio station was saying that I-80 was slowed to a crawl.... HAHAHAHA!!! I even tried calling the station to tell them how clear the highway was, but got a busy signal.
Don't worry about it. The highways will be as usual on any other weekday. So highway 65 had a little problem today where it slowed to 15 mph for about 3 miles....BIG DEAL. The 80 mph made up for it wink :D
I drive in this crap all day long and really only saw a slight difference in the traffic in the area. Not really enough to worry about.

Hopefully things will calm down by then anyway.
Sounds like free advertisement for the Casino.

Keep in mind that in the afternoons, 65 wb gets REALLY heavy anyways during the weekdays. Never could figure out why they keep that as a 2 lane highway (1 each direction).
I was actually out 80 up to Auburn and then back down to 65 through Lincoln around 1:30 today and it wasn't bad at all. Guess maybe I'm just used to it.

Its thursday now and I truck past the casino several times a day. No traffic backup like Monday and Tue. should be a smooth sail. Otherwise take 5 to 99, 99north to 70, get off at Mcgowan Parkway, take a right to 65, go South to Wheatland, left at the frosty and follow to the dam. go over the dam aNd the entrance is down 1/4 mile on the left. PS get yer munchies at Wheatland cause there aint shit at the lake store
