It seems to me that you might review a few of the jet guy's posts or is the vulgarity and sexaul comments ok on this forum? I'll play by the rules, the facts are, there are some real garbage mouths on this forum. Having fun is one thing but some of these guys are just low class with their comments. I understand this is a boating forum, a boat is a boat jet, v-drive IO, outboard, sail...........

You were doing fine until you got to the boat is a boat thing. Bottom line this is a "JET" forum.
We are able, to talk jets, bash non-jets, and do anything jet related. When a poster, posts his stuff being NON JET, he is in the incorrect forum. Geez, if we say something negative about a non-jet or woop some rooster on a non-jet, WHY should the non-jetter care, HE IS NOT IN THIS FORUM, jets don't interest them.
I believe HB thought this out well and made it very clear by creating a forum for all the different types of boats.
Any post bashing jets, or not jet related is and should be considered a troll, if it is not a troll then it surely should be posted in one of the other HB categories

You could be assisting, finding some middle ground, bringing people together, providing quidance to sponsor events, you could help...

So where do you stand?!??!?, looking for conflict or pointing blame on individuals and standing in judgement?
Is that what the backbone of your organization is about?

I think this forum kicks ass. Hot boat what about a chat room? I`ve learned a great deal on this site as to I`m a baby in this sport. I crossed over from cars. First boat was an aluminum flat with a 75 Evenrude. Second was a 1969 SleekCraft, 17` with a 90 Merc. Got rid of the 90 and put a Black Max 200 on it. Now I own a jet and the looks I get says it all, "Damn man killer boat!".

Hey Barney, lighten up. I have not made one foray into Outboard land, because I don't wish to get in pissing contests with others on line. I know you are coming to OP6, and I caution you to use a little more discretion with epithets you hurl at your fellow Hot Boaters. I have met the administrator, and he is far from a "dick" as you eloquently theorized. The reason we have a moderated forum, is because most of us don't like stirring the pot. Some do, but they have no place in this forum. Admin is strictly enforcing the will of the majority, and the majority doesn't want to deal with trolls, or anyone else looking to maliciously rile up the natives. The right to post on ***boat.net is not consitutionally protected. It is a privledge, and when people feel it is neccessary to degrade the forum with their own brand of distaste, I appreciate the fact that it is not tolerated.

It is plain and clear that the eggbeaters don't have a forum they can have any fun in, so they come here and try stir things up. They are green with envy. It shows, look at the eggbeater's forums,,,,,,,boring. They are all closet jet boat needers. They dream of owning one someday. No doubt there are some nice prop-jobs out there, but I don't want one. Keep the jets alive boys.

But, I've said it once, said it twice and I'll say it again: There is no need for some of the vulgarity that goes on in here. Think of it this way, if they can say it on TV, it's probably okay. Slick and Froggy hit the nail on the head. What does it really matter what kind of propulsion you have anyway? If it matters that much to you, go to the other message boards and fish there.
I think the best part of the Jet board is 99% of the people here are way cool and If the opportunity presented itself, I would hang out and become great friends with...
By the way, my jet boat is great for grinding up chum drift fishing for stripers!

You don't see the jet boat people going to the O.B. site to stir the pot, no need to as there is enough activity here without pissing people off. I don't own a jetboat [I have v-drives] but hang out here because I like these guys, they seem like a great bunch of people, they know how to have fun and don't pass judgement on what type of drive chosen. The O/B trollers come here looking to provolk anyone who will bite. If you want to make fun of drive type do it on your own forum.

I think many of you have the wrong idea.
We did not troll over to make enemies, just the opposite.
I think most of us eggbeaters came here looking for other recreational fast lake cruisers not realizing how many family boaters are here. I appologise for any hard feelings, it was not intended.
The only conversation starters have to do with our differences, conflict creates interest and that's about as deep as it gets!
My personal intention is to meet the boaters in my area, by ruffling a few feathers, I assure myself of meeting some of you.
Erik, I directed some comments at you personally, I appologise.
I'm not one for status quo, my intention is always to challenge those in a postition of authority to elevate their leadership and to promote our wonderful sport.
I hope to share a beer and some laughs one day with you also.

Slick: Thanks for your input. When it comes to vulgarity, I've identified two types of people: those who are willing to use it, and those who inspire the use of it. I feel that if I do what I can to keep the latter category in check, the former category won’t pose any real problems. So when trolls like “Uncle Tony” complain about it, I'm hardly sympathetic.
Spectras: If you guys want to vote somebody off Survivor-style, the host will uphold the will of the tribe. However, Barney has the immunity idol until he gets back from OP6C.
