The GOP convention got off to a good start with Senator McCain and my hero Rudy Giuliani (I hope he's our next President after Bush). Rudy delivered a terrific speech.
Tonight the Governator will hit the liberals with another roundhouse right and then an uppercut to their soft bellies. This is gonna be fun!
The Dems are kicking themselves for making their convention a one-trick pony - their entire focus was on John Kerry's war experience. That was a BIG MISTAKE for them and they'll pay dearly for it.
The Republicans are building momentum and people will begin to realize that Bush is the man to help our country be safe and secure now and in the future.
Meanwhile a new Swift Boats ad started running today - it talks about the despicable words John Kerry used upon his return to the US from his brief stint in Vietnam. Those words should haunt Kerry for the rest of his life! He betrayed his felow soldiers and this great country by his (in my opinion) treasonous act and words. His words gave support to the North Vietnamese who our brave soldiers were fighting while Kerry was undermining their service.
Four more years! Four more years!

The "L" is for "loser" which I assume is in reference that McCain "lost" the primary to Bush's tactics four years ago, yet carries his bags and licks his boots like he has no personal right to dislike the guy.....Why not?.... maybe it's because Bush is the "wannabe Antichrist" and is just ruthless enough to pull it off! Maybe being Bush's lapdog is more attractive to McCain than the alternative..... If he thinks he'll get Bush's blessing in four years, guess again! He'll hafta run against Jeb.... It'll be DejaVu all over again!

Kinda Long but funny.....
DEMOCRAT
You have two cows.
Your neighbor has none.
You feel guilty for being successful.
Barbara Streisand sings for you.
REPUBLICAN
You have two cows.
Your neighbor has none.
So?
SOCIALIST
You have two cows.
The government takes one and gives it to your neighbor.
You form a cooperative to tell him how to manage his cow.
COMMUNIST
You have two cows.
The government seizes both and provides you with milk.
You wait in line for hours to get it.
It is expensive and sour.
CAPITALISM, AMERICAN STYLE
You have two cows.
You sell one, buy a bull, and build a herd of cows.
DEMOCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE
You have two cows.
The government taxes you to the point you have to sell
both to support a man in a foreign country who has only
one cow, which was a gift from your government.
BUREAUCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE
You have two cows.
The government takes them both, shoots one, milks the other, pays
you for the milk, and then pours the milk down the drain.
AMERICAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one, lease it back to yourself and do an IPO
on the 2nd one.
You force the two cows to produce the milk of four cows. You are
surprised when one cow drops dead. You spin an announcement to the
analysts stating you have down sized and are reducing expenses. Your
stock goes up.
FRENCH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You go on strike because you want three cows.
You go to lunch and drink wine.
Life is good.
JAPANESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You redesign them so they are one tenth the size of an ordinary cow
and produce twenty times the milk. They learn to travel on
unbelievably crowded trains. Most are at the top of their class at
cow school.
GERMAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You engineer them so they are all blond, drink lots of beer, give
excellent quality milk, and run a hundred miles an hour.
Unfortunately they also demand 13 weeks of vacation per year.
ITALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows but you don't know where they are.
While ambling around, you see a beautiful woman.
You break for lunch.
Life is good.
RUSSIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You have some vodka.
You count them and learn you have five cows.
You have some more vodka.
You count them again and learn you have 42 cows.
The Mafia shows up and takes over however many cows
you really have.
TALIBAN CORPORATION
You have all the cows in Afghanistan, which are two.
You don't milk them because you cannot touch any
creature's private parts.
Then you kill them and claim a US bomb blew them up
while they were in the hospital.
IRAQI CORPORATION
You have two cows.
They go into hiding.
They send radio tapes of their mooing.
POLISH CORPORATION
You have two bulls.
Employees are regularly maimed and killed attempting
to milk them.
FLORIDA CORPORATION
You have a black cow and a brown cow.
Everyone votes for the best looking one.
Some of the people who like the brown one best, vote
for the black one.
Some people vote for both. Some people vote for neither. Some people
can't figure out how to vote at all. Finally, a bunch of guys from
out-of-state tell you which is the best looking cow.
CALIFORNIAN
You have a cow and a bull.
The bull is depressed.
It has spent its life living a lie.
It goes away for two weeks.
It comes back after a taxpayer-paid sex-change
operation.
You now have two cows.
One makes milk; the other doesn't.
You try to sell the transgender cow.
Its lawyer sues you for discrimination.
You lose in court.
You sell the milk-generating cow to pay the damages.
You now have one rich, transgender, non-milk-producing
cow.
You change your business to beef.
PETA pickets your farm.
Jesse Jackson makes a speech in your driveway.
Cruz Bustamante calls for higher farm taxes to help "working cows".
Hillary Clinton calls for the nationalization of 1/7 of your farm
"for the children". Gray Davis signs a law giving your farm to
Mexico. The L.A. Times quotes five anonymous cows claiming you
groped their teats.
You declare bankruptcy and shut down all operations.
The cow starves to death.
The L.A. Times' analysis shows your business failure
is Bush's fault

What the Republicans in power want to do (and have been doing) is to take the income that supports the expenses of our government, and buy your vote with it while they borrow the needed funds from the future.
Maybe you are not a big fan of Social Security, but it is a covenant the government made with the people that is financed by payroll deduction. How is it right to steal or mismanage SS funds?
Gore was right about needing a "lockbox" for these funds.

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security
(FICA) Program. He promised:
1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary,
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the Program,
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent "Trust Fund" rather than into the General operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and,
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are getting ready to receive a
Social Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to "put away," you may be interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent"Trust" fund and put it into the General fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking"deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the U.S.
Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: That's right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved
into this country, and at age 65, began to receive SSI Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
Then, after doing all this lying and thieving and violation of the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is, uninformed citizens believe it!
Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during this 2004 election year!

Neither party has been responsible with SS. Both parties have raided it's funds at will. Gores SS lockbox was a joke. It was nothing but a phoney rhetorical construct that had no real meaning and he had no intention of honering. As a Senator, Gore was as big of a SS fund raider as there ever was. That administration was the first in 55 years to have to deal with a republician congress. That had to have something to do with their spending habbits. If you remember their first 2 years, when they had a democratic congress, they were out of control. They raised taxes and they were proposing some of the biggest spending programes ever, the irresponsibility of those first 2 years is the main reason their party lost the congress.

It did my family much good. And to be honest any cut is better than the increases of the past. Bush's education bill increased federal education spending (one reason I didn't like it) so if your property taxes went up it was not from a lack of federal dollars. In the past and in the present most schools get somewhere between 2-6% of their funding from the federal gov regardless of which party has been in power.
Now back to the subject at hand. You still don't get my point. I don't want my federal gov to do anything for me other than those things that are constitutuonally mandated of it. I like personal freedom. I firmly believe that "the government that governs least, governs best". When I vote, I vote for the guy that is most likely to leave me alone and for the past 20 years or so, that has not been the Democrats....
