So how about this, a Buick 231 mated to a Jacuzzi 12wj, fitted in 18 foot hull. Any guesses on how fast it could go?

I got 1080 hp out of a Buic V6. Guy I was working with gets 1700 out of his. How fast will that go?

Oh, man, that was in 97, I think. If I remember the final tq it was around 800. The motor was a StageII with all the best chit. It had a huge turbo, I think off of Scott Brayton's Indy car (back then they were still turbo'd) Rick Head was still with Turbonetics, and helped with the set up. It was DFI'd and ran a Motec system. I assembled the motor, did some head work to it, did the installation, built the turbo ducting through a huge Spearco intercooler, and it went in John Raines' Production land speed Firebird. Goal was 300 at Bonneville. I think he's run in the 270's, but I lost touch with the project, and don't know if it was that motor. I also built the car. I know it holds a bunch of records.

Man thats a lot of stuff on it. I have always known that them motors really kick butt. Sounds interesting. post some pics up if you have any.Also do you have any web sites with build ups of Buick V6's?
